Big day here - Husband is mad Carlton… here’s hoping for Gather Round 23 style start. Sat behind the city end goals that night. Was lots of fun for me with footballs () flying over head. Didn’t see the husband for most of that game

With Smith joining Milera and Laird in our defence, all lacking real defensive pressure and having our two best defensive players in Murray and Hinge out we are going to have to score a lot of goals to win.
Can't believe before season and first few games had dreams of finals wins, to now this game then the showdown are scaring me they could get ugly .
Oh well weather wise a great day for good footy.

Hopefully Smith remembers how to play. Don't mind him being an inclusion as long as Hinge comes straight back in next week. If we win we can go into the top 4. Have a bad feeling about this one though. Injured players out and injured players in. Max and Worrell will need big games.

Massive opportunity for Sam Berry here as well. Has a few weeks now to show hes good enough. 12 touches a game wont cut it anymore playing the Crouch extraction role.

How is it possible that NONE, not a single one, of
Berry, Schoenberg, Jones, Pedlar, Cook, Borlase, Sholl nor Bond have NOT improved enough to be a regular best-23 AFL player for us?
That's an appalling failure by Nicks, or recruiting, or both.

At some stage, we'll be 5 or so goals behind on the back of 3 or 4 goals conceded in red time (which means we'll lose). There'll be another token fightback, another puke-worthy honorable loss.

There was a play up against the Suns where he broke a couple of tackles and put through a dribble goal that season and I thought this guy has got it. Has he been Nicksed?
