Who the hell is suggesting that we should drop this game? It is going to be a tough game, but there is no way we should slack off now. No one will accept a repeat of last year's Round 22 effort.

IN:

Welsh
Bassett
Goodwin

OUT:
Crowell
Shirley
Beinke or Massie

We owe them one for last year, plus the rest of the team owe Bunji for not collecting a vote from those bloody umpires

Agree with players coming in, so we need 3 to go out.

Keep Crowell in. Shirley out. Two more out of Massie, Hewitt, Mattner or Bienke out.

I can't believe I'm saying this, but you can't drop Crowell after last week IMO, dare I say he might have been the winning factor.

Now my head hurts, I have a conflict of interest in my hate Crowell circuits.

Dont want to sound like a broken record Jerome; but "Why Crowell?"
He got caught holding the ball because of a poor decision and then followed it up with another fumble shortly after but apart from that he did great

a bit harsh.

I tend to be in the same frame of mind as napsyd. I'm not much of a Crowell (or McGregor) fan.

Perhaps I'm being a bit harsh. I will admit that both Andrew and Kenny have been solid contributors recently. Crowell's mark in the last quarter of the Tigers game was quite good.

Any chance of James Gallagher getting a game this week? Why is this man being overlooked at the moment?

I wouldnt but it would be tempting to rest Goodwin

I am in two minds about this.

1. I fear if Goodwin is not ready then we may be taking a huge risk. Our midfield was decidedly average last week without Goody and Bicks. We need Goody in the finals.

2. Our midfield was decidedly average last week without Goody and Bicks. I feel we may need Goody in order to beat the Dockers. With winning form being good form, perhaps this is of over-riding importance.

The question with regards Gallagher is simple. Who comes out so he can come in? I'd like to see him get a gurnsey but...

To be honest with the talent available to come back, we are in an enviable position at this time of year.

It's all coming together. Can you feel it? :D

This Week

First of all I need to go to Footy Park (I refuse to use AAMI Stadium) more often now, thats two from two.
I had the BEST seats, we were sitting nearly right behind the goals in one of the corporate boxes and it was awesome with all the Coopers we could drink.
For the changes this week, did someone say to drop Kenny as he destroyed Ottens, it was Smart who got pasted by Richo, he has dropped his form lately.Crowell played fairly well and hewitt was alright but again the goalkicking was shocking, Maccas shot on the left in the last was aweful.Massie has the worst disposal in the league too, he hit thgeir players spot on then ours.
Anyway this weeks changes should be.
INS
WELSH
GOODWIN (No Risks Though)
GALLAGHER (Give Basset A Go In The SANFL)

OUTS
SHIRLEY
MATTNER
MASSIE

Also Does Everyone REALLY want to RISK so much on Carey.
You must all know that we are going to give up JOHNSON or someone similar for him that would not be worth it, he may get injured first game and Johnson will be of better value, he seemed pretty relaxed at the shed after the game, i dont think he wants to go, he must hate all the speculation.  The people at the shed amazed me, there was half the stadium in there.
Ive said enough anyway and see everyone at Subi this week.

Keep Crowelly in :) I don't how anyone could consider dropping him after last week's effort?

I agree "P" ;).....Crowell is in my eyes a forward...his pace would be a worry for any defender.

However if Welshy comes in, do you put Crowell back in defence and say drop a Mattner?

I say....

IN
Welsh
Goodwin
Bassett

OUT
Shirley
Mattner
Beinke

Crows getting stronger and stronger.

I just want to see Welsh play, I luv watching him play, and he always tries his best te keep the ball in the forward 50 by tacking hard to give us very opportunity to kick more goals!

And it would be good for him to have a game before the finals start.

Don't know who they are going to drop though, but definately not Crowell - that kid's alright.

Goodwin didn't train today and word has it that he's out!

Goodwin out again

Adelaide’s hopes of regaining Simon Goodwin this week were dashed when the star midfielder could not train at AAMI Stadium on Thursday.

He was immediately ruled out of the Crows’ match against Fremantle at Subiaco Oval on Sunday, and, at this early stage, is not considered a certain starter in a qualifying final next week.

The clash with the Dockers will be the third successive match Goodwin has missed, although it is virtually four because he sprained his left ankle against Essendon at AAMI Stadium and limped from the field only nine minutes into the round-19 match.

The injury is causing Goodwin and Adelaide’s medical staff more concern than was originally anticipated.

There is bone bruising above the ankle – a similar problem to the one that kept James Gallagher out for a month early this season.

Adelaide is expected to recall forward Scott Welsh this week after his two full runs with West Adelaide in the SANFL. He has not played with the Crows since round 10 because of osteitis pubis.

Full back Nathan Bassett, out for five weeks with a dislocated left elbow, will resume this week – with Adelaide or with Norwood in the SANFL.

Bassett’s absence is effectively six weeks because he had to be replaced at the 13-minute mark of the first quarter against the Western Bulldogs at AAMI Stadium in round 16.

Shirley, Beinke, Mattner and Gallagher.

So Welsh, Massie and Clarke are all in plus 1 other.

I would say either Beinke or Mattner will get a game.

If Goodwin is still injured next week, they'll bring Gallagher in I think.
