What no game thread yet? I'll kick it off to start discussion, but it won't be as detailed as some in the past.
Great win last week and the boys showed that they will stand up and be counted when the going gets tough. Partly though the win was because of poor coaching on Malthouse's part. The Pies granted us the centre corridor and I don't expect the Saints to be so kind on Friday. Then again, maybe the coaching disparity was because of the 2 newbies in our box on game day?
Our strength this week could be in the forward line where the Saints are a bit on the short side. This may be negated because rain is forecast. Expect to see a squad of 25 with an announcement closer to the match. The weather bureau hasn't been all that accurate lately.
If one of the big blokes does get dropped it is a lottery who gets the chop. Tippett for mine as he was a passenger last week. In that case we may see the return of Griff.
Midfield duels as always will be crucial and I rate the Saints mids higher than the Pies. Thommo will be welcome for his grunt at the clearances. If we get smashed there this week, I think we'll get done. We need a lift from our entire midfield in that regard.
If Bock lines up on Reiwoldt, Bock may well be the game-breaker. No disrespect to the big Saint, but he looked seriously underdone or out of sorts last week. It will be good to have JC down back as well as he gives us so much drive with his run and acting as our link man.
We need to hold Kossy and Reiwoldt to a couple each and get someone to sit on Milne (JC). He has proven to be a problem for us so often in the past.
This looks like a cracker of a game, but I expect our home ground advantage and the 19th man to prove too much for them.
Crows by 10 points

We MIGHT get the corridor again. Mick Malthouse on 'The Couch' stated that St Kilda were another 'outside' team in that they play through the wings rather than the middle.

Just because they attack down the wings doesn't mean they will inexplicably not defend the corridoor once we get hold of it.

Remind me never to wait until Monday for tickets again.

Nosebleed section.

Indeed he has. Doughty an option, as is Johncock. Neither ideal though. Wouldn't think you'd give it to one of the young blokes.

Could be the decisive match up given the conditions.

Stevens Cook out
Stiff Thomo in

I'd go Doughty, Johncock is too offensive minded and tends to get drawn to the footy too much, leaving Milne to sweat it off and play the cherry picking role he loves best, ie capitalising on teammates good work.

Bock should be able to counter Riewoldt, he's done it in the past, no reason why he can't do it again and Rutten, with a little help from Otten should be Kosi covered.

So the game will work like this:
- Bocky will dominate Reiwoldt.
- We will lose a lot around the stoppages, cos the sainters have a more experienced mideifled.
- But that won't matter anyway, because we will destroy the saints off half back.
- Our forward line is far better than the media thinks, so we will kick a winning score, if we can boot 3-4 goals from the midfield.
- Crows by 35 points.

Should be a good game this one have been going back and fourths on who I am going to tip, but for some reason I have feeling Porplyzia is going to have a blinder and is going to be the difference, and with a bit of rain forecast I can see his skills on show and kicking a bag full of goals tonight

I am really confident about tonight, IMO we have rebuilt our team and list under the radar and opposition clubs will strat to learn to rate us fairly quickly

Our back 6 is as good as any in the league and I expect Thompson, Vince, VB and Radar to dominate at the stoppages and feed the ball out to the likes of D-Mac, Petrenko, McLeod and Danger to run and carry the ball and to provide quick delivery to our forwards

Crows by 4-5 goals

Adelaide by 22 points but a comfortable 22 points....

Also looking forward to drinking at my seat.

First thing is grab a pie then 4 Bourbon and cokes (probably $234892 but oh well)

Agree with all points here - I tipped the exact same margin!

It's an interesting one, I'm worried that this could be one of our down games that we are expected to win but we lose. IMO if we play like last week we will win I dont think the saints will let us have the first quarter we did last time.

Hopefully Walker & Hentschell to kick a bag, Petrenko to get alot of game time. It would be interesting to see him up foward. And Hopefully Danger gets better this week as he has every other time he has played.
