Potentially. It's not the first time he's had a genuinely industrious game at this level.

That said, I do wonder if Jimmy ends up being a bit of square peg for a round hole at this level. He has these games in him, but I don't know if he has those deadly forward skills in him, or the pressure to really cement his spot long term. Or size with midfield.

ROBs main strength is repeat efforts and getting involved. Opposition coaches have cottoned on and the rest of his game is sub par. Unless he can find a way to counteract the tactics being enforced on him he's not going to get back to his best sadly.

ROBs main strength is repeat efforts and getting involved. Opposition coaches have cottoned on and the rest of his game is sub par. Unless he can find a way to counteract the tactics being enforced on him he's not going to get back to his best sadly.

He used to be a strong overhead mark, particularly in defense.

Has barely fired a shot in the air this season. That's a form thing, not a tactical thing

I think he's pretty deadly. Just doesn't have the explosive speed or endurance to impact games consistently. We can fix the latter but not the former.

Rowe's lack of speed has been evident today. I'm willing to put a line through him now. He's a skillfull, smart player but he just doesn't have the athletic traits required to make it as a small forward in the AFL.

Hence why he’ll be a midfielder eventually. Mitchell and priddis type.
