I have emailed the club on a few occasions about this but as yet have had no response.

Dont go there, its shyte. You will always learn/know more from reading this forum than going there.

As others have said, that website is a disgrace.

When I recently lost my membership forms and was fretting about the deadline to renew, one of the first places I went was the website - surely there'd be some sort of FAQ about both applying for and renewing memberships right?...

I'm surprised the Crows don't have an unofficial fansite like other clubs do.

You volunteering ?? :)

Tried to coax Vi who was one of the people who started the Power from Port web site to cross over but she wouldn't have a bar of it.

But your right you would think there would be someone from the Crows supporter base who would have all the ins & outs to develop & set up a web site such as the Power From Port one.

I can do one. Give me until about February to do it as I have three other projects I'm doing at present. It's all good for my portfolio ;)

Now hearing name suggestions too, by the way ;)

Was an ok web site up until they came under the AFL/Telstra banner then it just became a clone of a clone of a clone, in other words "CRAP"
Couldn't have said better myself - waste of time.

They seek replies and feedback and yet do nothing! - sorry the AFC are not serious about supporting their members, just taking their money.

I think thats going too far WW. A recent AFL survey apparently showed the Crows member support was the best in the league

I agree the website was MUCH better a few years ago and they need to do something about it. Perhaps an article a day as a start

Spot on.

We're nowt but cash cows to them - and any complaints we have don't matter at all because there's a 2-7 year waiting list (depending on our success in a given period) of people waiting to take our place.

Dont know about you guys but I received one of his monthly email newsletters from Matthew Robran with a topic being the AFC website and if anyone had any suggestions let them know. But as it was designed and all changes must go through the AFL web master they could not guarantee of these taking place.

Sounds like they want a bob each way (for all you old farts out there).

it appears that with whatever they do, people always find something else to moan about anyway...

with a massive supporter base such as ours, they'll never be able to please everyone...

of course, people could always STOP giving their money to something they feel they arent getting value for!

From the Crows Nest? :o

dont mind that one, or as the Crows Fly...

i must say whoever does the "unofficial" web site, i do like 'CROWmania' although there may be laws against that seeing as tho its an Official club trademark name...

That’s why we all come hear for, right. BF is the first place I head for information afl.com, afc.com and theadvertiser.com are never up to date and when the information gets there it is usually 3 or 4 days old any way.

DT - when were you in yorkshire to pick up that word?? ;)

on topic - the main problem is that the website is run buy telstra and they can't get the afl site right (which would be their main priority) so they don't really care about one teams site. Until that contract runs out and the club can go find another provider we are stuck with it.

this is how I found bigfooty - trying to get some up to date information and I am very glad i found it here, as others have said all the other 'official' sources are crap

I have to admit I've been planning to an unofficial Crows website for about 4 years now :p

It's hard to believe that with our legions of supporters, we're about the only club in the league without a decent, dedicated, unofficial website.

I had grand ideas, it was going to be more of a news-based Adelaide Football Club site, with match previews, reviews, reports, opinion pieces, interviews (where possible). I was going to rope in a few of the people on Bigfooty, get DT to do a hard hitting opinion piece every so often, RooDog and Stiffy with their inside tips regarding the club, or get others to submit something if applicable. Many posters here write a lot of good stuff. I'd chip in where I could and edit everything. And I was going to call it the Crow Chronicle.
Ahhh, the impetuousness of youth.

Sadly, I don't have any website design abilities and....well....procrastination is one of my middle names.

Regardless, there is certainly a market for it, so good luck anyone that wants to have a go. You'd certainly get a regular hit from me, because the AFL one is sh%*e and I don't even bother.

It sounds so good in theory doesn't it, it'd be great if someone could actually start one.

It is slightly disappointed there isn't one considering our fan base.

This forum has become our de facto I guess.

I can design one but I'm not running it, I already run two :p >=)
