Every team in the league has one decent crumbing foward these days. Some teams even have two. Where is ours?? I have lost count of the times where the ball hits the deck and no freo player is to be seen. Most of our players are contesting the mark. The ones that do stay down are not clean and do not have the instincts to play that role. Also the defensive pressure in our foward line is non existant! Who can play this role for us? Walters? I think Ballyntyne is more of a lead up foward ala Medhurst.

This is seriously a major issue for us at the moment. Thoughts?

Watching the WA v SA game on ABC at the mo... Jeffrey has 17 possessions to 3/4 time - some of his defensive pressure inside 50 has been a joy to watch.

Dunno - Walters? Hill might be worth playing out of a FP and see how he goes, instead of resting him at any time soon...

Walters has gotta be the man. Give him a crack Harves, he just might surprise us. We ARE indeed desperate for a little guy around the pack marks. Peake has played the role from time to time but I really hope Walters is given a chance next weekend.

I liked Peake there early in the season, but he seems to be playing up the ground a fair bit more now! Obviously a few of the new kids were earmarked for this role in the draft but are either injured or untried.
I think I have read that Ruffles has been used with a bit of success in that sort of role in thr wafl, might be an option!

Peake was good there early in the season, Hayden's been good recently and we really missed him up forward when he got injured today.

Walters is the obvious choice if Hayden doesn't come up this week - which he won't.

Hayden hasnt got the ball enough in the last 3-4 games as a half forward. I dont like him playing there.... we need to feed him the ball as much as we can through the back half.

Dont turn Hayden into a forward.

Really stood out like dogs bollocks today. Dogs bollocks with elephantiasis even. The amount of times McPharlin would contest the mark and then have to try rove his own crumbs while North swooped was ridiculous.

It's getting to the stage where we have to play someone like Son-Son even if he isn't quite AFL fit yet. We just can't keep plugging away with such an important hole in our structure.
