He's still fat, he's still lazy, he still lacks commitment and he's playing in a sub-standard competition where Ryan O'Connor was once deemed their best player.

No-one 'deserves' an AFL career.

Cupes can stay there.

I'm not sure what was going on behind the scenes but the reason from a footy point of view that he was dropped was a lack of comittment on matchday and at training.
Refused to work on his defensive side and it's a shame as he has a lot of talent.

Cupido was just interviewed briefly on SEN, gave the usual responses of how he has leanred his lesson the hard way, blah blah blah. They questioned him in a polite manner how on earth he would convince any club to give a thrid chance, his responsce was full of um's and ah's. Sorry cupes enjoy the SAFL or whatever league he is in.

11 goals is a fair effort! I wish we had kept him. Imagine how handy he would of been in our fowardline this year. Lucas is the only player in our fowardline at the moment who kicks multiple goals week in week out.

I dont think he would have been upto it, he still would have kept dragging his feet if he was still on the list. He had his chances to knuckle down, the club was fair to him and told him what they wanted and he didnt do it. But according to some of the posters there may have been more to the story.

It's not just he didn't take his chances when playing or get the game time he deserved, he was lazy, ignorant and not fully committed, and I'm not sure that'll ever change.

We don't need the Cupido's and Zantuck's on our list

I can't understand how Sheedy can let players like Cupido and Zantuck wear black and red. Very ordinary preliminary assessment of a players suitability at EFC.

Let's not forget he also had 3 years at Brisbane under Leigh Matthews.
And that no other club was prepared to draft him at the end of last year.
He has had more than enough chances.

Even if he was still fat and lazy he'd be in our best 22 easy at the moment. We're carrying a few blokes already on our list, with only Rioli having as much talent as Cupido, and the rest not a 10th of. Would have given him 1 more year.

Cupido was awesome on the weekend. But it was one of the bottom sides and they smashed them by 15 goals. In the previous 4-5 weeks he was hardly worth a cracker. A front runner of the highest order! Definitely needs to lose some kg's if he even thinks someone will give him another chance.

Lets sign him up then.

He sure did provide some great moments in 2003 didnt he. Kicking goals from 55 out on both sides, Anzac day was a great day for him too, even though he was overshadowed by hird and lloyd. I thought we had a champ on our hands back then, but anyway good luck to him coz we all pave our own way.

The one area we are lacking in is working hard enough for each other during the game and people are suggesting we bring back or should have kept one of the worst offenders in that area

Best comp outside the AFL. Sure O'Connor won a Magarey but for every player like that there is a Shane Tuck and a Josh Francou.
