Update has been done. Landt returns to the top 60 with D'Arcy replacing De Koning.

From what ive heard about Nathan Murphy he may come into my top 60 once ive watched him although im still weeks away from seeing a Sandringham game

I see you have Jackson Ross from Eastern Ranges at 25, haven't seen him very high on many other boards and did not play for vic metro in the championships, what are your thoughts on him???

D'Arcy has always been close and thought he was stiff to miss out on the Country squad but hearing over the weekend why he was cut and seeing how he has applied himself to not making it has him back on my radar.

Seriously impressed me for Haileybury and he has starred since coming back to Eastern, he is the most stiff out of all the players not to make Metro this year. He has massive upside

For anyone who has wondered why I haven't been doing many write ups for games these last few months its because ive recently gone back to playing footy myself so I cant attend any Saturday games so that leaves the Sunday games and most Sunday games coming up aren't close to my side of the city.

The next game ill attend will be on the 6th of August which should be a cracker between Eastern and Sandringham where ill hopefully be able to see Nathan Murphy for the first time. After that I may head to the Triple Header on the 20th of August, long way for me with the games at Ballarat but I should get a lot out of those 3 games. Those games are Geelong vs Murray, Gippsland vs Bendigo and GWV vs Dandenong.

Depending on my team making finals or not I could get to the super weekend Round 18 with 6 games all at RAMS arena over that weekend at worst ill catch the 3 games on the Sunday. Ill get to as many finals as possible with this time last year guys like Taranto and Florent enhancing their positions with great games in the finals.

Hey DPS, you a smokie as a mature ager late draft or rookie pick up?

Eastern Ranges could have 5 players go in the top 20 this year. Trent Mynott is another Eastern player high on clubs radars. 185cm 73 kg inside/outside midfielder who can kick goals. An October birth so he still has plenty of growth left with his old man apparently a pretty big unit.

Mynott has played 4 games for Eastern his stats are
Game 1 18 Disposals, 1 Goal, 4 Tackles
Game 2 30 Disposals, 2 Goals, 7 Tackles
Game 3 31 Disposals, 1 Goal, 7 tackles
Game 4 27 Disposals, 1 Goal, 2 Tackles

He averages 26 Touches a game and has 5 goals for the year equal to Cerra who also averages 26 Touches and has kicked 5 goals. Both from 4 games yet one is rated maybe top 3 with Mynott hardly talked about.

He has been in the bests for all of those games. His game against SA for Metro he had 18 Touches and 9 tackles.

Along with Jackson Ross, Dylan Moore, Tom North and Ryley Stoddart that's 9 players Eastern could have drafted this year.

You mentioned that you're hoping to see Nathan Murphy soon, is he meant to be good, what's the go with him?
Yeah I've heard he is pretty impressive, I've got absolutely nothing on him if you going to ask anyone about him for now I'd ask Bishop

Keep an eye out for Oakliegh Chargers half backs Ed Richards and Matthew King. I can see both players catching some interest when the finals come around.

King against the Falcons kicked 2 goals to go with 22 disposals he is a highly skilled player with good composure and good speed

Victorian U19 cricketer, will pick footy. Clean at ground level, can play as a third tall at either end. Reads the play well and is smart for someone with not a huge amount of footy focus. Dominating in the APS school competition and been very impressive in 3 games for the Sandy Dragons.

I've got him ranked at #34, but reckon he could end up higher than that at the moment. True test will be TAC Cup finals.

Does he have midfield potential?

Does he have midfield potential?

Maybe - but he probably doesn't have the endurance base at the moment coming from cricket. His long arms make it more likely he'll be a 'tall' rather than playing through the midfield. Similar to Will Hayward from last year in my mind.

You'll be disappointed.

No Murphy, or any other APS kids unless they represent St Kevins (who have the bye).

Game will involve 1/2 - 2/3rds strength line ups for both programs. Similar to rd 9 which was a one point thriller at TBO. So it will probably be entertaining as a contest, but won't involve as much top end talent (save for the AIS guys in Hayes, Stephenson and McLean)

6 goals from Dylan Moore in school footy and also I think over 30 touches. Firming as a top 30 prospect

Boris and his crew are to be congratulated for this year's crop.

Hopefully they'll have the most of this year's ND picks.

Doesn't seem to phase Oakleigh.

So where do you give the credit? To the schools, or the regional program?
Oakliegh have better depth but I think Eastern would beat them if they had their full line-up.

I'd give credit mostly to the players themselves at the end of the day it's under their control to get themesleves right and put in the hard hards

Maybe it's the responsibility of the program's staff (talent, sports science and coaching) to ensure their depth players are capable of performing in the absence of the guns.

I suspect you will see Eastern and Oakleigh facing off some time in September. When they did so in April, at full strength, Oakleigh took the points despite losing Answerth to a season ending neck injury.
