If you do id like your evaluation on Oakleigh's Charlie Thompson. For me he has been one of the better midfielders this year yet hardly gets spoken of. He is 183cm aswell so its not like a Bernacki/Jarnestrom situation.
For sure...feel that there are a few that just don't get any recognition...bewilders me at times

Just going over my rankings and i can barely separate the players between 40-80 all have their strengths and flaws its incredibly hard to figure out. I remember last tear with Patrick Lipinski who i rated in the 60s yet i would have taken him in the 20s just as easily. Ive become alot more open minded with the draft now and i can understand alot of clubs reasoning for rating players higher than others.

Aiden Bonar and Nathan Murphy have started well. Bonar forward and Murphy in defence. I like Murphy in defence he is good overhead and kicks very well, not bad closing speed either

LDU stamped his authority in that quarter kicking a goal and winning plenty of the ball in the middle. Constable was sent forward and did some nice things, Brayshaw missed a rare running goal but has worked hard all day. Murphy decent in defence, Bonar has been physical and kicked a nice goal. Clark also running hard with his goal coming from a nice bit of play he did beforehand at half back.

For the 17s Joel Crocker has done very well he has a sharp mind, Jai Nanscawen kicked a nice goal. Big man Riley Bowman took a great contested mark and converted.

Anyone who doesn't have Clark as a top 10 prospect might want to have another look.

I'm watching the Bendigo and Oakleigh game atm so my thoughts on both games will come later today.

My boy Charlie Thompson has 3 goals in the first quarter against an insipid Bendigo side

Can't read anything into Oakleigh v Bendigo unfortunately. One of the worst performances I've seen this year. No wonder some people are leaving at HT

Bendigo are just plain poor, backline crumbles under any pressure. Farrell their clear best for me so far

Alright I'm just going to discuss the first game because the Bendigo game isn't worth going over

Dandenong

2. Hunter Clark
Despite a quiet first quarter he came to life after that and his final quarter which was spent mostly forward was exceptional. He kicked 2 goals and could have easily finished with 4. Clark attacks the ball hard both in the air and at ground level, he was incredibly clean and would often hit the contest at pace and come out with it and shrugging of wild be tacklers. He works incredibly hard to support teammates and I overheard him in the last quarter urging his teammates to commit to marking contests. Laid some great tackles and worked hard to pressure when Forward. He is a top 10 prospect for sure.

6. Aiden Bonar
Bonar had another excellent game, quieter compared to last week for impact im not sure if he had more of the ball. He hits every contest hard and very clean. His contested and overhead marking is very good and he is clean at ground level. He protects the line of the ball and hits it at pace and cleanly. He went into the middle at times in the 2nd half but was more reactive to the ruck taps but when he got his hands up he dished out some good handballs.

9. Luke Davies-Uniacke
After a quieter game last week LDU stamped his authority on the game showing he is still right in the mix for pick 1. He showed some great speed from stoppages and his composure and clan handballs where brilliant today. He always looked dangerous going forward he took a great mark and ran into goal showing his composure and confidence. He also laid a don't argue that would have Dustin Martin proud. He was clean in everything he did and his composure was a class above everyone else

25. Oscar Clavarino
Clavarino was hit and miss, he looked great flying for some marks but a lot just couldn't stick for him. I like his composure and decision making, sometimes he gets undone but generally very dependable with the ball. He had some quality defensive efforts in the last quarter winning some outnumbered contests and taking a brilliant mark when Sandringham where pushing hard late.

Sandringham

6. Charlie Constable
Constable had moments in the game when he was the best player but it was hardly a 4 quarter game and a little below what he would have liked. Constable was smart in the stoppages reading the taps well, his handballs hit the target often bit his kicks from stoppages leaved a lot to be desired which has always been an issue but in open play his kicking was great. Constable looked threatening up forward at times taking some nice marks on the lead and was clever in a few plays. His speed is still an issue for me he doesn't offer a whole lot going the other way compared to a Hunter Clark

9. Andrew Brayshaw
Brayshaw had another complete midfield performance. He worked hard in tight and on the spread, his hands where clean and he generally hit targets by foot but his handballs on occasion where poor but he did mop up most of his mistakes. Brayshaw missed some uncharacteristic shots at goal but he did kick the goal of the day with a dribble kick hard up in the pocket. Brayshaw's mind was always on the game his focus and ability to keep his mind always on the game is to be admired.

10. Angus Styles
His breakout performance for mine he certainly looks draftable and for me was best on for Sandringham. Styles had it on a string on the wing he was composed and skilful with ball in hand and his sideways movement was a thing of beauty. His kicking on both sides is exceptional and with his ability to move sideways with ease make him dangerous no matter which way he turns. He finished his game with a running goal he always looked composed with the ball and he worked hard both ways.

74. Nathan Murphy
Murphy started the game really well taking some quality grabs from the side of packs and his closing speed on occasion was incredible. Murphy spent most of his time down back which is where I feel he plays his best footy. He is a very good kick of the ball and when his teammates talked to him he was always quick to hit a nice switch. I say right behind Murphy for the last quarter where a few issues came up for me, a few times he took too long to dispose of the ball and instead of tucking the call under his arm he just strolled with the ball and almost got run down on a few occasions, will hopefully learn from that and raise his urgency with ball in hand coming out of defence. Overall looks a good talent and I hope to see him play some good games in the finals.

I got there mate..Thompson exceptional and Higgins goes into the top 5 for mine. The Pioneers were and are woeful. No game plan and some players going backwards Imo.

Brander...terrible, no other way to describe it!
Daniels was very good especially in the second half
O'Brien..how he was named in the best has me baffled. Not a great game from him
Schumacher...way off it today
B Henderson..steady and tried hard
Farrell..fought hard under adversity and gave the Pioneers some drive
D Henderson...very steady game. Used the ball well
Davis..poor

To have that much talent they should've been within 5-6 goals today. Wooler was also very good. Interested in your thoughts mate

Agree on all the Bendigo guys, noticed a few recruiters talk about Angus Byrne last week and he looked good up forward again, might be worth a rookie spot.

In Branders defence the kicks to him where mostly horrible it was tough having to play CHF especially with a Riley Jones on his back all game, thought Jones did a terrific job was the best ive seen him play one on one.

Mate Angus kicked 4 which was good but got a couple of easy ones. When the ball hits the ground he struggles. However has got some ability. Where do you see players such as Schumacher and Davis?

Yeah kept presenting though despite some cheapies.

Schumacher late-rookie
Davis rookie

Essendon requested Davis play in their VFL side and with a state combine invite I'd say a few clubs are interested, thought he was better last week but needs to find more of the ball, I've wondered how he would go with a good side because the best he has looked this year for me was playing Essendon VFL haha

Davis had 7 touches last week, about the same today and 5 for the VFL appearance .....not for me but I don't make the decisions.

Thoughts on Brayshaw this year v Florent last year and also who you would take first, based on their junior footy?
Now that's tough very tough. Brayshaw definetley more consistent, maybe just a touch slower than Florent but not by much. TBH they are too hard to seperate but I'd lean slightly to Brayshaw

Can you elaborate a bit more on Crocker mate?

He's been hidden away in school footy for a while and that's only his second game of TAC Cup. Haven't had a chance to see him live yet.

Crocker played on a wing, he moved really well he wasn't afraid to just change direction if he didn't like a certain option, his first kick was poor over the head of his teammate but after that I don't think he missed a single kick and he is a nice long kick when he gets going. He doesn't seem quick but he still finds a way to carry the ball without being caught, so he is quick but in a way that makes it feel he isn't even trying.

He didn't get a massive amount but when he did he moved well, stayed composed and generally made good decisions.

I know I'm biased but do you see Bailey Henderson at about 60-70? What about Darby Henderson...rookie?
Bailey is a better chance since he got a combine invite, best chance for Darcy would be rookie draft and Bailey will be late or rookie but should get drafted
