Almost, he's right behind Presti, Lockyer and O'Bree, who all gave great speeches last night also.

But you do have to love the way Swan accepts any award, he always mentions the team first, then the supporters, then his family. He never "builds himself up" or gets cocky at all.

I compare Swan to another great, Darren Millane, that they were a little "naughty" in their younger years, but thanks to Football and more importantly Collingwood, they both grew into great young men.

Swanny's a true Collingwood hero now, that's for sure.

Unfortunately, that's what I was thinking too

This day and age in footy, with player scrutiny and strictness, I dare say Pants would've been put into line well earlier and it would've saved his life.
In fact, the Millane tragedy was probably the catapult in changing the player lifestyle around which has saved guys like Swanny and Didak from similiar fates (although I guess Dids has come close)
