He is already the best contested marking midfielder in the game

As for the poll, went with Fyfe. Dangerfield this year (his 4th overall in the AFL) was only slightly more impressive than Fyfe's 2011 (his 2nd year) so all those saying Danger is a class above or miles better are kidding themselves. As long as he stays injury free, he will go past Dangerfield and other young midfielders next year imo

This year has been Dangerfield's first as a full time midfielder.

And one stat that's missing from there which is reasonably important for a midfielder, is that he was 2nd in the league for Inside 50's per game this year.

I'd be more than happy with Fyfe, but given the choice, I'll take Dangerfield every day of the week.

Fyfe has had 1 uninterrupted preseason and has just finished his 3 season, people are comparing him to a guy that's been in the program for 5 seasons. It's not surprising Danger is wining this poll but there is just so much improvement left in Fyfe.

5 years is a bit of a stretch. He played 2 games toward the end of his first year and was living in Victoria finishing school (drafted at 17). To be honest, I think there's a hell of a lot of improvement left in both of them, and they'll both end up in the top handful of players in the competition before long.

Yeah no doubt I was stretching the yarn, but, he didn't as you make it sound walk out of high school and then play 2 games of AFL. He was at the club training in 2008. Compare that to Nat Fyfe who was still playing under 16s.
