Dangerfield started in '08
Fyfe started in '10

2 years head start and Fyfe is already (arguably) better. Plus he has been hampered by injury. Fyfe will be the best in the game in a few years if he continues down this road.

Is that when he was drafted or when he first played because he stayed in vic for a year after being drafted before playing a game

Fyfe is not a better user. Better on his non preferred maybe but he aint a great disposer. TBH both these players biggest weaknesses lie in their disposal. If they were elite kicks danger would be the best player in the game and fyfe would be at the same level after an uninterrupted year.

Dangerfield's problem is that he is often running at a million miles an hour when he kicks. He's actually got a good leg on him when he takes a second to slow down a bit and compose himself before kicking the ball. Needs to learn to do this more.

As for the poll, I'd take Dangerfield, but I'd do unspeakable things to have both. :D

Both very good footballers, heading rapidly towards being great, but I put Fyfe just a smidgin in front of Dangers. Personally, Dangers is explosive, and uses that to beat opponents, while Fyfe is a bit silkier. For me, silkier outlasts power, so it's Fyfe, but as I said, not by much.

Dangerfield way more explosive, harder. Fife is excellent overhead and has uncanny awareness of everything around him and has all the free spaces sussed, so always looks like he's moving effortlessly in slow motion. Dangerfield gets the ball and goes and get the job done. Dangerfield for mine. Fife is more than welcome to be one of the first picked every week at the crows. C'mon over.

Oh shit, this poll is very hard to seperate...

In terms of impact on the game, who would take the cake? Danger, by a whisker...
Disposal, in any circumstance? Fyfe, by a bees dick...
Marking ability, contested more presumably? Fyfe, by a hair...
Contested possession ability? Danger, not by much...
Goal sense? Level pegging...
Tackling? Fyfe, just...
Speed? Danger, by quite a bit...
Durability? Danger...
Composure? Fyfe...

With that said, I'd go Danger (bias opinion here ;)) as the midfield starts from within the contest, and then feeding it to the recievers and runners. Therefore Danger is my go-to man, but I'd be happy to have either!

Fyfe's kicking really isn't that bad, its just not consistent yet. Check out these goals-

Seriously, WTF?

nahh' it's just that I never heard a footy fan comment that Fyfe is the best contested mark in the league.
I know he's very good and all but he only pulls down a little over 4 of them per game and even then, 1 or 2 would be contested.
Certainly has upside but I think the best contested marking players are the ones who have the best spring in the league, blokes who can get up and hang like Howe, Hardingham, Hawkins, Riewoldt, Petrie etc, even the smaller blokes like Porplyzia, Walker, Kennedy and plenty of others.

I was just using your  post to emphasise the WTF'ness of the Fyfe being the best contested mark in the league post.
