Half this thread is about explaining to dumbarses what RFA actually is and means.
FFS if you are gonna come here and try and have an intelligent conversation, at least bring some intelligence to the post or you look like a bunch of trolls revelling in the unhappiness of others.
I mean, how shitty is your life to need to fill your time being an ignorant miserable twat.

How can certain people entertain the idea of two first round picks + a player.... Do you understand the concept of free agency?
Brisbane paid pick 5, pick 25 & a player for beams - whilst I acknowledge danger is a bit above beams.... Surely anything the crows get above the compo pick should be viewed as favourable and a bonus?

He's only a free agent until we match.

And a bit above beams?

Because he is a RESTRICTED free agent. When we match geelongs deal they have to trade. What would you trade for danger?

What happens if cats offered a ridiculous amount of cash that was hard to match? That's not trying to be a smart....
For your question - first round plus a quality player and/or swap of picks? I guess that player depends on your list needs

Go back and read the last 143 pages of this thread and the 2000 odd pages in the Dangerfield thread.

Geelong don't want to do that because one of their core principles is wage equality.

Fact ; cats are not going to break the bank for pd. anything under a mil a year we match. I personally want pick 9, cockatoo and 2016 first rd pick.

I wish we could trade with literally any other VIC par maybe North. Imagine he wanted to go to Essendon or something, Pick 4 + Carlisle. St kilda, Melbourne, Hawthorn, Bulldogs would give very good trades as well.

Selfish prick

Rockliffe would be similar to beams... Both best and fairest winners... So you would accept two first rounders, two second rounders and two players for danger?
Wow your bnf award must be prestigious

Well, we've certainly never handed it out to two players in one year.

The other big question is, WTF are Lloyds credentials for this role? Never even coached his own football team. Cant even get a job as a senior coach. How does this work?

The DOC role has become a all care and no responsibility type of role

I don't get the role.at all

Noooo. Not Essadun.

They'd offer us McKernan plus Skipworth and a third.

And tell us we were lucky

http://www.afl.com.au/news/2015-09-...micable-discussions-on-dangerfield-says-scott

Scott said the club would continue its "egalitarian approach" when dealing with future contract discussions, citing the club's ability to maintain a strong playing list over the past decade.

He added the potential signing of Dangerfield would be no exception to that method.

"Often there is a premium associated with bringing players in from other clubs but I think Geelong's success in the modern era is based around an egalitarian approach to the TPP (Total Player Payments)," Scott said.

"And whatever we do over the next year or two, we won't be compromising on that."

So that ticks off one of the Geelong BF boys main positions. So there will be no "blow them out of the water with a massive 2 year contract" - hopefully we don't hear it from them again.

And the guys from the Geelong BF Board that were promising perma-bans of AFC and Geelong end up trading for Dangerfield must be feeling a little concerned that a trade deal is being discussed. I'm looking forward to the trade week almost as much as I'm looking forward to next years season.

Missed the sarcasm? :p

There's absolutely no scenario where PD plays somewhere other than Geelong next season.

Well seeing as neither Danger or Geelong have the ability to make that scenario happen on their own, your certainty is peculiar

He doesn't get there in the draft, and he doesn't get there without our help

So if you can't see any alternate scenarios then that just says you lack imagination not that the outcome is certain
