That's not really true. With Danger having nominated you, he's offered the club and community hope.

Losing him and that would be devastating.

If it wasn't, your daily paper wouldn't have run Come Home Danger campaigns.
Mine is Die Ziet but I get it :D

I believe the rule is about signing contracts. Any agreements other than that "are not worth the paper they are written on" and can be changed at any time.
Pretty much. Provided it's not binding, you can have all the discussions you want.
Don't have him yet, so I wouldn't be happy but you can't miss what you don't have.
You really don't want the cats to drop the ball on a gift wrapped top 3 in the comp player for significant under value. I'd be ropeable if the situation was reversed and our club didn't seal the deal. Your fellow supporters needs to stop focussing on getting him for free, which you won't, and instead focus on the fact that no matter what is ultimately agreed, you are getting him for a steal and no where near market value.

Bwahahahahahaha.

Bwahahahahahaha.

Bwahahahahahaha.

But seriously.

Bwahahahahahaha.

Amazing decade by your lot. Hats off. But as at today, no way. You guys are headed south at a rate of knots.

You are in for a rude shock next season.

You are in for a rude shock next season.
If I was you guys, I'd be more focussed on questioning why your club is mortgaging years worth of first round picks for 5 or 6 years of danger. You're just deferring the inevitable. Danger may arrest that massive slide you are on, but it will come and you won't have any top quality youth coming through because you've spent your high draft picks.

Fair enough. That's your opinion. Geelong supporters will point to the fact that we already have a number of very talented first round picks learning their trade (Lang, Thurlow, Cockatoo) and improving players like Duncan, Caddy, Guthrie, Motlop and Blicavs who are all between 60-120 games and play key roles for us.

We had fewer players in the 25-28 year age bracket than anyone else this season so it's no surprise the three players we've been heavily linked to (Danger, Henderson, S.Selwood) fit this bill.

I don't expect Adelaide supporters to have an indepth knowledge of our list as I don't with yours. But I'm very confident in our sub-150 gamers and believe we will rocket back up the ladder in 2016 with some experienced recruits and a better run with injuries (this year was our worst run with injuries for almost a decade).

You are talking about a Geelong slide without the facts because that's how you want it to be.
Geelongs best 22 next year will be more than competitive with any side you can field.

They've already got some pretty good youth coming through and it's not only Dangerfield they'll be getting from other clubs. They not going to sink like a lead balloon like everyone on here is saying.

They might not be top four next year but people writing them off completely as a basket case are just hoping that will be true because they're shitted off about Dangerfield.

Listening to the interviews after his 'win" last night, at least he manned up and told us why he stringed us all along.

Yeah, you're probably right. But this is the Adelaide board and therefore I'm allowed to crack the shits!

I've seen quite a bit of GHS in the VFL over the last 3 years, he has not come on one inch, ordinary speed, more outside than inside, doesn't find enough pill, best point of difference neat disposal when in the clear......the very personification of vanilla....there is a reason Geelong and it's supporters are putting him forward apart from the fact he's from SA. Murdoch is the least we should be going after as he does add something we really need, outside speed and a reasonable skillset.
What games have you been watching? GHS is definitely more inside and delivery is average.

Proof will be in the results and until then its just your opinion against others

Just the counter argument; we just missed out on the finals having the equal hardest draw this year and our worst year injury wise in the past decade.

Our backline is fine Enright and Taylor are solid. Kolo and Thurlow are jets.

Add to that Hawkins dealing with the death of his mother. Duncan not playing. Selwood playing most of the season with a broken hand.

We will have a much easier draw, akin to the one you had this year, and a fuller list of players to chose from - we will bounce right up again quickly.

Finally, Selwood had some kicking issues that were rectified in the space of a single-off season.
Don't forget Stanley and Clarke missing most of the season, getting back Menzel,Vardy and Cowan at the end,Bartel only played half the season.
When all of those players were missing along with Duncan Geelong were still competitive. Add PD and the other possible trades and we have a
possible 10 changes from that competitive side. Our best 22 next year will be as least competitive with anyone.

This thread is not about your list or best 22

Move on

Opinions are best supplied when at least based on known facts.
Can you supply the data on which your opinion is based?

Known facts are that you missed the 8

Some of your best and most experienced players have retired

You have players like Clark and Vardy who are injury prone

And your list profile especially quality players in the 24-28 yrs age group is a concern

They are the facts now move on, this thread os not about your shitty list

Not to mention I your list was so great you wouldn't be trying to poach Danger, Henderson, Selwood and Z Smith from other clubs

How about developing your own

Im sorry but your delusional.

Can you name your defence in three years after trading 2 years of draft picks. Your club is trying to delay the inevitable.

I'm really not sure why Geelong supporters are coming onto this board to talk up their side and next year's chances. These arguments go round in circles and ultimately are better suited to the main board.

We're not 'coming onto this board to talk up our side,' we are simply defending our club against some really misinformed posts about the quality of our list. We missed the finals by a game and a half despite our worst injury run in almost a decade and the toughest draw in the league according to Champion Data.

Our veterans are bit part players now but there's a perception we rely on them. It's simply not true and will be demonstrated in our B&F results this year.

Adelaide fans would flock to our board to defend the Crows if we were claiming your list is garbage, too.

Pretty poor response by a mod.

If you don't want Geelong supporters posting here, you should make the thread Crows only.

We're entitled to defend our club. The proof will be in the pudding when we improve next season, and P.Dangerfield is only one part of the equation.

Don't tell me how to mod, if you have an issue PM

Happy for Geelong supporters to post here however where does this thread title say "Geelong List mgt"

It doesn't so with that in mind please keep your own list mgt discussion to you own board
