Can't trade a future first and second round pick at the same time
Well Geelong come up with another player to give Brisbane so we can get Aish then!

Because it's ridiculous. Some of the suggestions in here make us look bad enough. Yours is outrageous.
This one definitely seems the most likely for threadbans, so yeah it looks like the boob is done for now.So it would be this one?
Thanks

It was quite clearly a pisstake. And it was bought hook, line and sinker. It was a pisstake.
As soon as I read it I took it as a pisstake... As if anyone would take that seriously...It was a pisstake.
I found it quite amusing! As soon as I read it I took it as a pisstake... As if anyone would take that seriously...![]()
Hmmm. I think a better deal would be:
Adelaide gain: Pick #9, Geelong's 2016 first round pick, Aish, Murdoch
Adelaide lose: Dangerfield
Brisbane gain: Pick #28, Geelong's 2016 2nd round pick, GHS, Jansen
Brisbane lose: Aish
Geelong gain: Dangerfield
Geelong lose: Pick #9, Pick #28, 2016 first round pick, 2016 2nd round pick, Murdoch, GHS, Jansen
Everyone wins.
Your not guaranteed pick 14 if we match and matching is the only way you will get pick 9. So yes If Geelong give us 2 first rounders we get one extra that we wouldn't have got if we simply take the AFL compo. We are guaranteed of pick #14 at the lowest. Therefore getting #9 from Geelong is a 5 pick upgrade.
So for #9 plus an average player (who we arbitrarily say is a 2nd rounder) you're not happy or sad.
For #9 only you're pissed.
For #9 and another 1st rounder, you're ecstatic.
I'm just pointing out (maybe being a bit facetious) that there's a fine line between you being pissed at the club and being ecstatic.
He's taking the piss, chill out! This reaction is exactly the reason why he did it.Mate you are dreaming and in la la land.
No way the cats give up anything close to that for Dangerfield.
I'm surprised you didn't start listing Selwood, Hawkins, Motlop, etc. In your fantasy trade.
Maybe I should post Cats get Tex, Danger, Jacobs, Betts & Pick 14 for Pick 9 & Jansen.
When you negotiate you start anywhere you like but you need to have in the back of your head what you are really prepared to take. What I have mentioned above is the bottom line. Unless I get that I call it off. If you want you can start with asking for Geelongs 5 best players so long as you understand that wont happen. You would never get what you want if you start there. Best for our group think to aim a little higher. And not signal a willingness to cave in so readily.
I love to buy a used car off half the crows supporters here. I'd be able to sell for a profit the next day.
Cause they do. He's nominated them as the club he wants to go to.Who the **** is jansen and why the **** would brisbane want him.
Who the **** is jansen and why the **** would brisbane want him.
he must be all australian walk up the way these geelong fans are shopping him around...Who the **** is jansen and why the **** would brisbane want him.
The image is true though - you are dreaming if you think you will get Dangerfield for 1 1st rounder. No need to be like that - when a above me contains a trade with 4 picks and 3 players out of Geelong for Dangerfield. You ain't getting mountains of a gold for an out of contract player who will only go to one club.
I wouldn't be happy.if we could get a rd 1 pick and Aish for Danger, I'll be happy... Don't know how it gets done though.
There should never have been a system based compensation - it affects every club but the one gaining the player. The club gaining the player should be the one that compensates. Moot point anyway as system based compensation will be gone within a year. The problem lies with the afl and the aflpa. Had adelaide finished 2nd bottom like Melbourne last year they would except pick 3 I'd imagine. What if geelong were in the grand final and their first pic was 17? I agree with 1970crow the system is flawed and I can't see where the afl are going to fix it. I think the aflpa wants no such thing as restricted free agents, 8 years club service your free you can do what you want.
Then you have the 9 year buddy franklin joke of a deal that Fitzpatrick had a tantrum over and lead to sydney getting trade penalties on the fly.
It's just a mess, of course adelaide are going to match because they finished 6th, and geelong 10th, yet Carlton try to shop Kreuzer around to gain pick 2 but he fails 3 medicals at clubs and they keep him. Is that a fair system? Player movement and compensation based on ladder position is a joke, unrestricted or restricted "free agency" free being the operative word.
Danger is worth more than what geelong or the afl can currently offer yet frawley who isn't fit it stud dangers boots is worth pick 3? Wtf?
Yet the afl has a points system for unproven father son and academy draftees but not for proven stars?
I feel sorry for Adelaide mostly, geelong also because purely based on ladder position they have to trade.
Fix the mess afl. It's a joke. Don't force adelaide and geelong to sort out problem created by your "fair system".
How ridiculous. Brisbane get pick 9 and jarred Jansen for aish. Adelaide get pick 20 and Aish for Dangerfield. **** right off.On the topic of Brisbane, what's the likelihood of a three-way deal between Geelong, Adelaide and Brisbane? Jarrad Jansen has asked to be traded to Brisbane and Brisbane owe us a favour for accepting unders for Al Christensen. Are you guys still after Aish?
Aish is not going to Collingwood anymore I believe, so perhaps he might be keen on a return to Adelaide? Geelong send pick #9 to Brisbane along with JJ. Geelong swaps its second and third round draft picks with Adelaide. Brisbane send its second round draft pick and Aish to Adelaide.
In summary:
Brisbane lose pick #20 and Aish and gain pick #9 and Jarrad Jansen.
Adelaide lose Dangerfield and (roughly) pick #33 and #51 and gain pick #20, #28, #46 and Aish
Geelong lose pick #9, Jarrad Jansen and pick #28 and #46 and gain Dangerfield and pick #33 #51.
Is lethal in a position to do that? I know he said they shouldn't trade him, but is he making the decisions? No. Lethal's making a stand apparently
Compensation pick 14 is not in play if we match.R9 this year and R1 next year and pick 14 back to the Cats.
Or
R1 this year and Murdoch (no Gregson, no ****) and not a penny more.
And?Apologies if it's already been mentioned, but seems Danger has removed any references to Adelaide on his Twitter and Instagram accounts.
Mate you are dreaming and in la la land.
