There is double up of discussions happening already and to merge would create a hell of a time for people who haven't been on the board over the weekend etc trying to read the 'unread' posts.

I'd say close this one and move to the Trade thread makes sense.

I agree, getting it out the way early is a relief. delaying tactics rarely work in negotiations like this one.

The fact that we got more than compo is a credit to the club, not a negative.

Otherwise, it must be 2 1st-round picks.

Show some balls Crows... there is no reason to get the deal done early... stalling is acceptable in these circumstances...

Although I agree with you, there was a certain scientist recently, Dr Matt Taylor, who was involved in the Rosetta mission to land a spacecraft on a comet. Below you can see him provide a journalist with an update after the successful landing. His involvement in this mission is the greatest professional achievement in this man's life.

This led to an international furor with the twitter hashtag #shirtstorm used in a massive campaign of hate against him along with calls for him to be fired which led to this.

He was so distraught about the (apparent) offense he had caused that he is seen here a few days later with a tear filled grovelling apology to all those who was offended. It didn't matter that the shirt he was wearing was made for him by a female friend.

So even though I totally agree with what your saying, that doesn't mean that a bunch of outraged people won't start a long, continuous hate campaign against the Mayor for his sexism and misogyny until he is forced to leave office. It's 2015, there is a chance this could happen.
