After you hurled abuse at me and then banned me form one of the Dan threads, it's the best I could muster.
Oh I don't think there's anything friendly about your posting

Definitely some obsession that you can't move past but you're not alone look at how much traffic this thread gets

I could give two ****s about politics;
And yet, it seems it's all you've got. Your posting history across multiple threads shows you are incapable of engaging in a coherent discussion around the facts and issues and instead engage in personal attacks and fallacious claims about political allegiances.

Does Festerz even live in Victoria, or is he just blindly propagating his Labor party agenda like he does across all of the other boards?

I'm wrapped that the Labor Party Shill has finally responded to a post of mine!

Grow up.

You weren’t even part of the Dan threads, Shill, so you don’t even know what the **** you’re talking about!

I’ve posted in this thread 22 times. You’ve posted 24 - three of them in the past two days in the form of personal attacks on me to bait me into responding knowing full well I have you on ignore.

Not sure what your problem is or where that chip on your shoulder comes from but stop embarrassing yourself with these personal attacks and focus on the issues.

Oh yeah! The old "fleeting contact" backtrack. :tearsofjoy:

None of the comic stylings associated with our response happened in the other states...

I always felt sorry for Brett, he seemed like he was just toeing the company line most of the time and the one time he says too much, he was finally given a rest for a few days!

There are a half a dozen threads on this topic when we all went through hell in Victoria due to the bumbling incompetence of the Andrews government and you were nowhere to be seen, because you don't live here.

Not sure what your problem is or where that chip on your shoulder comes from but stop embarrassing yourself with these personal attacks and focus on the issues.

I am focussing on the issues; namely the current topic of the COVID-19 Response Inquiry Report and it's relationship with the Andrews government.

Your embarrassing response to this report was not to address the issues, but to typically deflect from the Labor government to the Liberal Federal government. And you are correct it is factual that the Feds had plenty to be criticised for and I did criticise them at the time. The main **** up was obviously the 'all eggs in one basket' AstraZeneca commitment that failed dismally and the subsequent slowness in procuring the only other approved vaccine at the time in Pfizer.

But again, that's just a deflection from the focus of the topic of the extended thread, which is the incompetence by the Andrews government at the time, because whatever the Feds did, they did not put us through the dodgy security guard detail to hotel quarantine (that was a creeping assumption), extended lockdowns, fleeting contact debacles, 'Captains Call' playground bans, excruciatingly long reopening measures, as well as the hubris of a hyper commitment to infrastructure builds and a commitment to the Commonwealth Games off the 'back of an envelope' (that literally involved building swimming pools and then ripping them back up again!), meaning that we have by miles the worst debt ratio of any state or territory by the length of the Flemington Straight!

So again, the torture experienced by us here in Victoria this decade cannot be handballed to the previous Liberal Federal government or the international headwinds of inflation; it's by a substantial margin down to the mismanagement of the Dan Andrews government (with the torch being carried by Allan who is so far out of her depth that it's literally embarrassing).

Plus their endless obsession with trying to prove without any success of how easily it spread outdoors, even to the point of one day claiming the only point of contact was passing someone in the street before having to backtrack the next day when it turns out they’d been indoors for hours with a positive case…
Better than SA where they claimed it was spread on a pizza box

Better than SA where they claimed it was spread on a pizza box

As much as I loved Nicola Spurrier's comedic stylings during the pandemic, she had nothing on our murder of incompetents and the pizza box incident had nothing on the dozens of security guard violations, 'fleeting contact' retraction, vapourisers, 'Rings of Steel', cant drop our mask down to drink booze in the street bans, can have your mask off in a pub but if you go to take a piss you've got to put it on again.....the list of insanities by our "experts" and "leaders" is endless!!

Actually it can be in part. Quarantine is a federal government responsibility.

What happened to Brett Sutton? I actually admired the guy. He had an absolutely shithouse job, was constantly under the media and public microscope and had to obey Dan at all costs. I know he would have been on a good wicket but **** that for a job, I would have crumbled. He always presented and spoke well.

Did he fall out with Dan?

He's at the CSIRO now.

The dearth of leadership was filled in by the States where the most progressive Premier Dan, lead the way, love him or hate him I was enthralled watching his pressers each day. Where today working from home in Melbourne is the norm and not the exception.

The loss of a myriad of arguments around our COVID response.

I could give two ****s about politics; I with a few others, were interested in at least scrutinising some of the more draconian measures, the lengths and severity of lockdowns and Victoria's apparently limitless budget.

As an prime example, Dan taped up playgrounds like there was a murder there, all because he had a tantrum one day about parents getting too chummy at a safe distance outdoors, chatting over their flat whites while the kids played.

And if you dare questioned the Supreme Leader, you got made to feel like you being against the measure was that you were basically in favour of putting a flame thrower through every aged care facility in Melbourne.

This line of argument against those who were in favour of health measures (ie. we weren't anti-vaxxers), was relentless. And all the while all we asked for was a little measured scrutiny and have been proven to be correct in this report, various admissions by Sutton (who was used as a pawn) and via our eye-wateringly high debt.
cooker eh?

cooker eh?

"Cookers" protest when they should stay home, piss on the Shrine, decry "Plandemic", worship David Icke and talk about Reptilian overlords.

Most of us in here challenging some of the restrictions, but mostly agreeing with the crux of the issues, don't exactly fit the "cooker" bill.

If there was a plus side of the main lockdown of 2021, it allowed plenty of time for some of us Pies fans (current President included) to fight to finally attain a meaningful vote for the members after years of Eddie autocracy. Gave us a new lease on life and we've benefited from that rough period ever since.

Yep! As conceded, the Feds were a part of the issue. Just nothing like the omnishambles of the Vic Gov though.

Out of interest, what was the end percentage of repatriated Australians who came back through the Kingsford Smith airport and the Berejiklian government's hotel quarantine?
