I'm not sure the Pies would be interested in this guy given his age but this may help push a few players up the draft order if they all happen to nominate for the ND.

Thinking of getting a possible St.Kilda player not happy with his Coach:p, - to me the biggest dangers of nabbing him in the ND at pick 30 were NM & the Bombers both with 2 picks in the 20s'.

Both clubs could use a player like Bradshaw to play alongside some younger forwards.

I would think it would rule out one of these teams going for this St.Kilda player if they took Bradshaw, as you'd think they would take 1 youngster & 1 seasoned player in the 20s'.

Anyone interested in Bradshaw. He's a gun, albeit an old one who appears to have started getting the old man injuries.

Hmm, you'd think he'd only enter the PSD.

Carlton should gobble him up. He will probably only play 5 games next year anyway.

Just heard the news then. Pies should consider the prospect (if we are able to get him that is) of him as he would offer at least 2 years of service while adding much experience + fire power in terms of goals that we may need.

Only way we get Bradshaw is via the National Draft, at pick 30.

If he goes in the PSD, he will end up at Richmond, North or Essendon as they will all have picks before Carltank.

As long as he doesn't go to Carltank, I really couldn't care where he goes.

I wouldn't use pick 30 on him though, it would mean we would have no quality draft picks to use on a young kid or two.

Was waiting for a thread on this.

Seems many magpie fans get excited at the prospect of many discards from other clubs.

We won't go after Bradshaw and we probably don't need to IMO.

He will be at Carlton next season.

I'm guessing we'll get him to put one big price tag on his head before he enters the Draft. One thing about losing Fev and Stevens is that we have squillions in the Salary Cap. Good luck if others want to match it. I think we'd take him at pick 43 if he's there.

That would be fine by the rest of the league, allowing all of us to go after Kreuzer, Gibbs, Murphy etc in a year or two when you do hit the salary cap because of a 30 year old with major back problems.

On second thoughts, I hope he goes to Carlton, nothing like the scum relying on an injury probe old fart.:thumbsu:

How come he wants to go to Carlton now?

Is Bradshaw worth a punt with pick #30?

If he nominates for the ND, would it be worth a punt?

He has been a wonderful player for many years, people are talking about injuries etc. But he would be great for 2-3 years in our young forward line.

HF: Didak Cloke Thomas

FF: Medhurst Bradshaw Anthony

Stats from this year: 1st line is total & 2nd line is average.

I'm not sure his "wanting" to go to Carltoon is any more than speculation.
Apparently he knocked back the Carlton offer originally according to his manager and is looking at several other Melbourne based clubs.

Didnt he fail the medical at Carlton originally? Not too sure theyd want him if that was the case.

Re OP, I think Bradshaw plus Brisbane's delists in the ND will help push Ball our way.

But we don't know if Bradshaw will go in the PSD, equally Ball. We'll find out the intentions of the players by November 10.

Seriously WTF is wrong with some of you people? "Hes too old, too injured, not what we need," Wake up people he played 18 games this year at an average of 4 goals a game and kicked 70 odd last year, i would give up pick 30 in a heart beat to get him at the club.
Daniel Bradshaw has to be the most underrated footballer going around and if Collingwood got him he would be a bigger get than Jolly, i may get shot down for that comment but i dont care, the guy is a superstar and fits in to our plans of a flag in the next 3 years, should have gone for him in trade week and should get him now if it is at all possible.

Totally agree. 2-3 years out of him could help us get a flag or two.

HS reporting that Brisbane will now make a play for Ball since Bradshaw has walked out.

Another twist in the Luke Ball saga. I can't see Ball turning down an offer from Brisbane, they're also contenders.

I admire Voss' trade/draft aggressiveness in an attempt to win a flag, but not sure if playing the old Carlton style of buying stars instead of building a coherent team still wins premierships these days.

We're not in the Bradshaw count, even if we were interested. Sydney, Carlton etc wouldn't let him slide to pick 30, and they have plenty of space in the salary cap.

This would be shattering if true... As long as we get one of them (Ball or Bradshaw) I will be content, but to miss out on both, and have them go to fellow contenders in the draft would be very disappointing.

You can have him.
