Every interview I have heard from John Longmire he keeps talking about him. Id say providing his fitness holds, which was his problem from woe to go last year the answer will be at some stage.

Even if he fills in for a forward if the ruck positions are full I think all being equal your going to see him.

Hopefully he can just as much for his own sake.
Going by what our spies from the magoos say he has a lot of upside.
At least his injuries don't seem to be predominantly soft tissue ie hammies. More the the type that could also be associated with a growing BIG BOY body.
Over to you Jeffers and Soph.
I shouldn't be in here as I have only seen him the once.:o

From what i have read from reports during the pre season he is one player that all players and coaches have been impressed by he's really got his body right and seems really fit also!

His injuries though persistent at times and rather annoying are not too serious
and im really hoping this is curries time to shine

Due to injuries last season he played mainly in the forward line and this is where i think he will start his footy this year whilst having a few games in the ruck

Hes gonna Smash it out hes so good ive said so many times how good he is im almost sick of saying it i just hope for my sake he debuts ASAP im gonna die if he doesnt

That's some new signature, Soph. I've always wondered, and if you don't mind me asking - what's the go with your dislike for Johnston? He just a prick?

Read the thread "roos 1st year policy" page 3
really should change my sig though

I think you should... I mean, the signature, combined with your comments in that thread seem to give me the impression that he may have been somewhat justified in not wanting to talk to you

right or wrong, no excuse for not having manners when speaking to a young female fan and a life long club member, but I do believe he will learn and Soph should and probably has let it go, after all he is a Swan and now one of our own...

I think the distinction that needs to be made is between:

a) The expectation that players be good ambasadors for the club.

and

b) The attitude that "I PAY THE MONEY that pays his bills" (direct quote) and that therefore we are entitled to expect that the players are obliged to personally acknowledge our support at all times on demand.

I think the former is a legitimate expection. I think the latter is not.

But yes, we can probably leave it at that.

ALL young men and old for that matter should show manners to young ladies either way, you might have an idea on Sophs views and are free to judge them for yourself but he didnt at the time so that wasnt his excuse for being rude..

Maybe he heard soph was a crazy nut and didn't want to initiate any contact?

Seems plausible to me.

Pretty sure im not crazy passionate but not crazy

anyone like ive said before
i now have no time for Lewis, whats done is done and idd much rather focus my time on players who are always so kind to me Like Patty V and Currie

Sophs not a crazy nut and I think it has been blown out of proportion by us going on about it and Im also pretty sure he's a nice young bloke, Soph must have her reasons so be it.
I see this old crazy lady now and then when I walk my dog, I try to avoid her if I see her first shes always going on about weird spiritual stuff, saving the planet, whales, lights in the sky at night etc, yet when our paths do cross I still manage a smile and a cheerful comment about the weather and I keep goin, no need for me to be rude to her shes a good person and wouldnt hurt a fly.

So you're saying that Sophie reminds you of some crazy old lady?

Nice Bez, nice!

FWIW.... I've met Sophie in real life and she's definitely not a nut. In fact, she's a very nice young lady. She did hit on me several times despite the fact I'm dating her friend, but I don't hold that against her.

I heard Hools and Soph were just testing you and you failed badly, Soph had to shake you off her leg like you would a puppy on heat.

Hmmm, opened a fair can of worms there. To answer your question, BomberMan, from all reports about the pre-season, you'll definitely see him (and relatively soon), but I'm not sure how much. He was being groomed as a ruckman, and he'll be competing against at least 3 others for the spot, all of whom have AFL experience.

I imagine we'll see a bit of Pyke, a bit of Mumford and a bit of Currie at the beginning of the season.

You wish
ur brother on the other hand haha

From an interview on Melbourne radio with Horse Longmire and reports I've read on the Swans website through the players Q & A reports over the christmas break Currie appears to be the real standout on the training track over the pre season. Appears to have finally got his body right which is showing in PB running times and training performances by the sounds of it, and hopefully has given himself a really solid platform for a huge year to show his full talent.
I can't wait for his debut.. Hopefully forces his way into the side for Rd.1 V St.Kilda!
