Think it would be a waste to play him as a fwd.
This guy should play everywhere ala James Hird.

He hasn’t really shown the elite disposal quality that he has in his arsenal, once he gets up to speed he could rip games apart. Nobody can match up on him on the wing so he’s a clear mismatch for anyone that decides to take him for a one on one.

He’s got all the attributes to be top tier in the comp.

His brother Cody is putting together a very good start to the season.

Kicked 5 in a State trial last week, on top of bags of 8 and 5 in other comps already this season, plus two bags of 6 in late 2024. Imposing type, 200cm and 98kg. Be very interesting to see post-Champs where he sits in phantom drafts

This kid is building. Absolutely love him. Team player, great workrate, belts out the song, pumped after goals regardless of who kicks it, and a ripping kid by all reports.

Wing is his spot.

16 touches, 7 marks and 5 tackles is a great night.
86% TOG also a great sign the coaches are backing him in more.

Only 155 metres-gained last night, so in time I'd like to see him play with a little bit more dare and get some more I50s (given his field kicking is usually very good).

But as a 19yo in second season, tracking incredibly well. Keep this up and a Rising Star nom won't be too far away.

I have been on the train since we drafted him. Please for the love of god, give him a big long term contract. Every week that goes by i get more nervous we might lose him to a mammoth offer from the west. I think in 1 to 2 years time he will be 'the next Bontompelli' as he realises how powerful he is to go wih his footy smarts and high end skills.

200cm and 100kg. Yeah he's a massive kid. I see he has also kicked bags of 8 and 5 this year.

I'm not against looking at a KPF, we are well stocked in the AFL side, but with Turray injured we do look a little light on talls in the SANFL.

Can't say I've watched any of him yet, but I'll certainly keep an eye out come the championships.

We do need another tall forward for depth on the list. If he's good and we don't use him we can trade him. I think West Coast and Freo will be all over him.

He is doing well, but his spot will be the big question. He is doing well on the wing where his marking ability is giving us an option coming out of defence, and equally a good intercept marking option when other teams are coming out of their defence. The question on him is his ability to run along the wing and get score involvements. We know he can slot into the forward line and kick goals, as well as intercept mark in the backline. While he is doing OK where he is, I wouldn't be surprised if he is moved around as our needs change.

The defensive work is a key part of the wing role, so that's to be expected. Really, Curtin might just end up being the secret sauce that turns Adelaide into a defensive monster as he gets more experience (and gets more confident), seeing how good his contested marking is.
 
I have this nagging feeling he might leave and go back to the West. He hasn't re-signed yet, has a Perth GF, and is getting approached by the WA clubs. WC could offer him some crazy contract number, especially if they lose Reid, which seems likely.

Played as a defender last year. Versatile big defender/forward would be great as both will be a need in coming years

Reckon he will learn to sneak into the forward line off a wing to kick goals.

You keep saying that, but he isn't even half way through his current contract & all signs are he is very happy living in Adelaide.

THink this is overly pessimistic, he might be a flight risk when he gets to 26, I don't see it now.
