He suffers a bit from Nathan Jones syndrome but the difference is he has the pace to get away with it.

Love his game.
The good news for him is that after about 5 years he'll understand not to always take everyone on or boot the ball long!

If he sorts out this problem and tightens up his defensive work he'll be a star.

its amazing to have kids that put there body on the line, its been missing for a long time.

There is a big big step up from VAFA to VFL and then AFL. He has made the transition very quickly, and agree that even in another month or so he'll have picked up the pace of the game better.

Don't get me wrong I've been very very impressed, but I really don't like players who put the blinkers on, because they lead to bad turnovers/miss easy goal opportunities.

I believe, and I hope our coaches believe that there is still plenty of work to be done on this guy. And until that is done I hope we don't get too carried away as a supporter base. I love his pace and his aggression at the ball and the game.

I stand to be corrected, but i don't think he even played a lot of footy
(if any) for the Rebals growing up, so he may just need time around professional coaches.

BP deserves a fat bonus for doing being ridiculously good at his job in the last two years.

Evans is another superstar. Very interested to see how Davis, McDonald, Fitzpatrick and Nicholson come along.

BP is our King.

Not to mention the 2009 draft if you caught the article in the Hun today, where only Fitz hasn't debuted

Gysberts and Tapscott and the rucks were two very good picks, but Scully and Trengove picked themselves.

2008 was the really fantastic one in my POV.

I don't think we can call 2008 fantastic yet. Watts was a great pick but Strauss and Blease have serious question marks. Bennell and Jetta are far from certainties moving forward either.

Jizzberts and Tapscott were beauties. It was risky as most draft lists had Tapscott going earlier and Jizzberts in the mid 20s. I think Geelong were keen on the Jizz though with pick 14, or something around there. Very gutsy stuff. I remember reading about how the recruiters almost fainted when it got to pick 20 and Tapscotty was still there.

Showed some dash and took a nice mark, but the seven clangers worried me and the fact that Nahas beat him one-on-one a number of times.

He does take the tacklers on but isnt in the Jones catergory. He can actually break them.

Yesterday was the first time ive seen him caught (from the blind side, had no idea the bloke was coming), he has a habit of being able to break nearly any hand layed on him. Must be very strong through the hips, Judd like in a way.

Love the way he takes the game on and is able to get himself out of trouble, would prefer him on the wing over time.

if all sam blease does is persuade his good mate tom to hang around then he will be a great pick.

I love the way how he takes the game on and gets it into our forward line FAST!
He also has a great technique of rolling his shoulders to break the tackle. Great find!

Nahas is a very clever-slippery player, he did a reasonable job especially for a guy playing in his 4th game. The clangers will improve, he has the pace & seems to have time but isn't yet quite use to the pace so blazes away sometimes.

4th AFL & he's played I think 8 VFL games. The step up is huge, I know it's no more than a junior player, but impressive none the less for a guy taking a non-traditional route into the AFL.

First player upgraded for sure
