The good news for him is that after about 5 years he'll understand not to always take everyone on or boot the ball long!He suffers a bit from Nathan Jones syndrome but the difference is he has the pace to get away with it.
Love his game.

If he sorts out this problem and tightens up his defensive work he'll be a star.
thank you VAFA
Don't get me wrong I've been very very impressed, but I really don't like players who put the blinkers on, because they lead to bad turnovers/miss easy goal opportunities. There is a big big step up from VAFA to VFL and then AFL. He has made the transition very quickly, and agree that even in another month or so he'll have picked up the pace of the game better.

I believe, and I hope our coaches believe that there is still plenty of work to be done on this guy. And until that is done I hope we don't get too carried away as a supporter base. I love his pace and his aggression at the ball and the game.
LJBP deserves a fat bonus for doing being ridiculously good at his job in the last two years.
I don't think we can call 2008 fantastic yet. Watts was a great pick but Strauss and Blease have serious question marks. Bennell and Jetta are far from certainties moving forward either.
Jizzberts and Tapscott were beauties. It was risky as most draft lists had Tapscott going earlier and Jizzberts in the mid 20s. I think Geelong were keen on the Jizz though with pick 14, or something around there. Very gutsy stuff. I remember reading about how the recruiters almost fainted when it got to pick 20 and Tapscotty was still there.
Showed some dash and took a nice mark, but the seven clangers worried me and the fact that Nahas beat him one-on-one a number of times.
