Everyone's talking about how Lynch bathed him yesterday. At least he will be very clean today. ;)

The thing that annoys me most is how far away from Lynch he was in the 1st half, he showed in the 2nd that when he played close, Lynch had it much tougher even though the ball still kept going down there.

Moore could be better on the Wing with how well he is Elite at Attacking and Average Defending?

get him in the ruck, then he can go wherever he wants on the ground, and his opponent would not be able to go with him. He would be an absolute weapon.

The thing is Moore didn’t get beat one on one, he got beat because he didn’t bother manning up.

First of all I think everyone can accept that Tom Lynch is a very good player and sometimes very good players take hold of games.

At least two of Lynch's goals came when Moore was in no man's land trying to defend someone else's man as well as his own (as Pendles called it in the pre-game "defending 1 and a half"). It looks bad trailing your man to a chest mark but in that much space after we'd invariably turned over the ball, nobody could make up that much ground.

Next point is: with Pendles and Nicky D part of the back six, its actually a Back 4! Those other two are good at mopping up but provide absolutely NIL marking or body pressure to their opponents so Moore and Howe are feeling the pressure of having to deal with their own opponents and not getting the blocks and third man up cover they once had from Maynard and Crisp (and of late Madgen)

Missing Grundy as well because he can actually work back quickly enough to provide body pressure to the tall forwards, Cameron and Beggy don't have the athletic ability (aerobic capacity) yet to be able to do so.

Now I'm pretty sure the coaching panel know this is all happening (I'm not even that sure that they're not orchestrating it so that THEY FIND OUT EXACTLY WHAT WE NEED FOR THE FUTURE). There's no doubt that Moore had his colours lowered yesterday (but then so did Howe and to lesser extents Pendlebury, Maynard and Quaynor). How he goes about addressing the issue (prior to matching up on Naughton next week) will be the test.

You will get an argument from the journalists about Pendles, he's been named all over the press as 1 of our best but you make some really valid points.

Which makes it important to man up.

Helping out other players is ok but when Tom Lynch is dominating there are bigger priories. Too often he’d go to help, not make an impact other and Tom Lynch would be on his own.

That make it hard but Moore made it even harder for himself with his loose positions on Lynch.

Which makes it more important for our defends to adapt to that. Moore did not, he kept playing like we had Bucks gameplay with everyone dropping back and cutting leads off.

Disappointing from both the coaching staff and Moore to let that happen.

Really would of loved to have seen how Malthouse would of managed the situation with Moore

Carey has now gone whack and he reckons Lynch did not do anything to Moore it was Moore that handed him goals on a platter and he was very unhappy with his flat efforts.

Wow....now I really believe that DM is a lazy spud.....Carey says so....wow. King Carey not wanting to be outbid by Kane Cornes!

Howe is copping similar criticism as well for letting the opposition get goals too easily and David King thinks our defence system is outdated.

To be fair his natural game is to intercept. He can’t do that without any KPP support. Especially early when Lynch was getting a lot of the ball up the ground early Moore was trying to defend the deepest forward out of Lynch and Jack.

What's Kingy's take on the Bulldogs? Or the Swans? or North for instance? Oh I forgot....only Collingwood lost on the weekend!

Very true. Sydney are the darlings of the media. They beat North by a kick after trailing all day and got done on their home turf by Gold Coast. Remember the media mayhem when the GC knocked off an injury riddled Collingwood at the G?

Spot on.
They are effectively useless overhead - marking or spoiling.
It is very frustrating seeing how far off our defenders play, they all do it.
Then they point to another defender to pick up their man while they stand in “their spot”.

Agree. I think it’s something we need to rethink.
‘Maybe we can have 1 of them down back but not 2.
‘I’d like to see Nick move forward.

It's why I'd like to see Nick get more run in the midfield. Think it suits him better
