Re: Big week for Jolly

If he can't deliver this week, Collingwood should sue Sydney under section 51AC of the Trade Practices Act - Unconscionable conduct!

I didn't go to the saints game, but my brother did and he came up with some interesting points about Jolly.

He noticed how slow jolly was and he said to me mate i doubt Jolly will play for 4 years with us,cause he is so slow.

At sydney he dominated cause their game style is stop start with heaps of stoppages, and the grounds he was used too were the sydney grounds which are not big grounds.

Our game style is to run , and Jolly may be having trouble with our bigger grounds ?

Don't know your thoughts?

Jolly is not slow.

I think people are getting a bit carried away because he is not dominating.

He is an improvement on last year even with his current output and will improve.

Re: Big week for Jolly

Sorry had a look on the first two pages clearly must of missed the Jolly thread and hadn't noticed it the last three days.

Mods feel free to merge the thread

Re: Big week for Jolly

Said that before the game vs the Dees

And people have since found out that Mark Jamar has improved out of sight.

The same can't be said for Renouf, who wouldn't even be playing if the Hawks had all their rucks fit and available.

Has to at least improve this week Jolly, doesn't have to absolutely dominate, as I still believe he will show his best form in the second half of the season.

Simply put though, like our whole senior side this week, no excuses for poor performances this week, 8 day break, back on the MCG against a side that is struggling with both injuries and form.

Jolly isn't alone in needing to "lift" this week, as I could (but I won't) start a thread asking for 8-10 senior players to "lift" this week.

Re: Big week for Jolly

A mate told me he was filmed coming out of the physio (the one that all AFL players get filmed coming/going) for something on his elbow. Don't know if it has anything to do with his performance but hey.

Re: Big week for Jolly

I'm looking forward to Jolly getting:

16 Kicks
24 Handballs
61 Hitouts (37 to Advantage)
18 Marks (11 Contested)
8 Goals
1 Behind

Overall of 94% Efficiency.

I don't think my expectations are to high are they?

Nah all seriousness, should have his best game for the year this week, coming up against a young and fairly average ruckman this week in Renouf, although I like Renouf, I like his aggression.

Re: Big week for Jolly

Well I have a feeling he will have a big one against Hawthorn. I watched him absolutely monster Hawthorn last year with two ruckman in their team. He will push forward and work over their ruckman.

Re: Big week for Jolly

Channel 10 just reported that he is so concerned with his form he has rang up his old ruck coach (current Sydney ruck coach) for advice.

Good to know he isn't content with what he is dishing up, he has the perfect opportunity this week to find some form

Re: Big week for Jolly

^^^

Not exactly TD, Jolly may simply have a personal relationship with the Sydney ruck coach. He was there 5? years so obviously they would have a good relationship and the coach would know Jolly's game inside out.
