No GD, you have taken two seperate incidents and put them together.

1977 Grand Final, moments before the half time break, Fred Phillis king hit Tim Evans, then Phillis fell to the ground, knowing that no-one else was nearby, so naturally he'd be reported for punching Evans, by falling to the ground he made it appear that they both punched.

1984 Grand Final, Port Vs. Norwood, Tim Evans lined up at Full Forward against Craig Balme, whilst the national anthem was playing, they started a boxing match, Balme was better at it than Evans, Evans did not play well that day, Norwood won by about 7 points, damn it.

I think I remember that game !!! Up here in Brissie, we used to get ABC coverage of the SANFL grand final a week after it was played.

It was from the few games I saw that I kinda became a Port fan ....

Brown is the moron, I agree thug, he is temperamental and apparently decked someone just for looking at him in a pub !

If swear words came up here i would barrage you with them you complete idiot. Is it port adelaides fault they were the first team in south australia to go in hard at the ball and if that meant running an opponent down then so be it?? Grainger was a one in a million player, the same as Muir was, the same as Mal Brown was. Grainger tho, had football talent. He FOOTBALLING skills were similar these days to a James Hird. Could play anywhere but mainly up forward. Had a lovely kick, a great leap and makr and was very quick. He let himself get carried away a few times. In fact hes probably similar to a Brereton, had great ability but let himself down with his head a few times.

We are doing pretty damn good for a bunch of 'deadheads' as you put us. 36 falgs isnt it?? A lot more than your club has, or any club for that matter. The fact that you call South Australias second greatest goalkicker a deadhead just goes to show the mentallity of people like yourself. Grow up and look at your own side. I dont know who you barrack for, nor do i care. All i can say is, each club has had there fair share of thugs thru the years. Scott Salisbury is probably the greatest thug to ever play the game of football. Garry Mcintosh is another...how he won two magarey medals is an injutice to players with skill who dont rely on beating up younger kids to look great. Robert Klomp was another...his dirty act in 1990 in breaking Rohan Smiths jaw was a disgrace to himself and his club, and they fully deserved the thrashing they got that game as well. Look in your own backyard before sprouting your mouth off
