I was hoping for a badly jarred knee but him doing an ACL is a massive blow to us. I know Bellchamber's form hasnt been good but he must come in next week to support Paddy in the Ruck. With Hurley coming back in the next 1-2 weeks he will fill Paddy's role in defence.

Why was Ch 10 banging on like it was fait accompli?

Until the scans come through we don't know squat.

Poor Bloke. Arguably our most important player. :(

Interesting to see what Knighta does to cover him. Bellchambers will get a run, but perhaps not every week after what Ryder showed today.

Good luck on the recovery Hilley. :thumbsu:

I really hope he'll be ok. No Hille and no Laycock to step in for him will not be good. It's a shame for Laycock too because this would be a perfect opportunity for him to step up. If Hille is out for the year I just hope that Ryder and Bellchambers really improve during this time. If they're forced to step up then hopefully they can speed up their development and become the ruck men we'd like but a lot faster.
Although, the best thing to happen would be for Hille's injury not to be that bad so he can come back.

****! why ****ing hille
its such a shame when players get injured like this its because of crap kicks!:thumbsd: Dempsey was uncontested and he still screwed the kick up

even though paddy played well in the ruck today, Hille adds a lot and paddy probably will struggle to play against the strong body ruckmen for the whole year.

Malceski did a PCL.

No it was an ACL, pretty sure he had a synthetic ligament put into his knee. It will eventually wear out.

Hille is not the only ruckman to have suffered this kind of injury. I think it happens to the bigger ruckmen alot more than it does to other players. What happened is Hille landed on one leg, off balance and landing on a straight leg almost certianly spells doom for the player. Naturaly you would land with your knees bent. Also landing on one leg increases the chances of twisting the knee and POP!, down you go.

I'm pretty sure that Hille tore the ACL sorry to say.
