Opinion David King tips Pies to win Flag

Hawthorn was 100% going to win the flag in 2012, Saints, 2009 etc.. etc.. :/

Truthfully there are at least 4-5 teams that look like they could go all the way this year, I believe we are one of them. But for the love of god, the H&A season has not even started yet.
And we all know getting to the GF is very hard, winning it even harder. I am just glad we look like we are definite contenders this year; fingers crossed on injuries AND YES our depth looks great, lets hope we do not really need it!!!!

I'm impressed by this. Did you also tip us in other years? I'm looking for signs and patterns here. My daughter had a 'premonition' about us winning the flag in early March 2010. I keep asking if she's had any more recently....

I legitimately tipped Collingwood to defeat Essendon in the GF about mid-season 1990 and tipped the Pies to win in 2010 in 2009 (defeating Geelong).

FWIW Connolly has us outside the top 4 in 2013 according to the run home tonight.

In no particular order he has it as Fremantle, West Coast, Sydney and Hawthorn.

King's just making a call for the sake of it and there's nothing wrong with that. Even if he is a bit of a peanut at times!

The funniest piece of tipping for me is Harley who reckons we will miss the 8 altogether mind you he has tipped the Cats for the flag so maybe this is just what he wants to see because it certainly does not seem to have any relevance to fact.

We have great depth this season. 2011 and 2012 really tested that particular area of our list and it anything, it's made our list stronger.

We'll go close this year, I am damn sure.

I kind of know how it started, but too embarrassed to say; but anyway. Whenever I buy something at the supermarket that you have to count out (potatoes, kiwi fruit, bananas, etc) it has to be 13..... at the moment.

I do remember the weekly segment. I guess he was sort of insinuating that we were the team to beat by having that segment though. I think you might be right that he only tipped us in the Grand Final. The main thing that sticks in my head is how arrogant he was about Geelongs chances, stuck with the too old thing till the end. I wanted to believe him*

2010 King stood firmly by us all year even before out great run of form.

2011 He thought he thought Geelong would win.

2012 He thoughts Hawks would win.

Let's hope for 3/4

In 2010 magpies nested out the front of our house from the middle of the season. Strange considering the time of year. I took it as a sign and we won. They didn't come back in 2011, in 2012 the council cut down the tree.
I moved house this year so I am going to stuff as many shiny things into the tree out the front as I can fit.
