3 episodes. If you are going to be promoting a program, shouldn't you have the funnier jokes on the promos?

Same goes for that other channel 10 trash (Real People? something like that). I'll give that 2 episodes and it will be moved to a different timeslot.

Actually, they will both last longer than Celebrity Survivor.

Bloody hell there is some trash out there. Thank god for DVD players.

Yeah agree Jarryd, I felt rather pessamistic about the promos, and decided to throw it with Yasmin as easy failures, but the Denton aspect has me reassessing. Still could be rubbish, but he doesn't usually produce crap all that often. Then again, there is always a first for everything.

I heard a promo on the radio today, and again, there was nothing funny about it.

I hope the show is funnier than the ads... but probably too earlier to write it off. (But we were all right about the Wedge).

For me it was an avoid at all costs show until I heard Denton was involved. Now I am intrigued because I trust Denton will do something good. Will give it a chance but it doesn't look like much from the promos.

Bio:

After an impressive decade-long broadcasting career in the United States, Australia’s David Tench returns home to host Network Ten’s flagship primetime chat show, David Tench Tonight.

It’s a long way from his first media job. A promising full forward with the Murray Steamers football club, David was lured behind the microphone first as a cadet and then as the regular sports reporter on radio 3EC in Echuca, Victoria.

His radio work led to a stint on local television, where he made his mark as Australia’s only angry weatherman. In an interesting twist, Eddie McGuire was Tench’s copy boy at the time. Says Tench, “To this day, whenever I see Eddie I think of a ham sandwich.”

David’s big break came when he was spied by holidaying NBC Today show weatherman Al Roker. Roker introduced Tench to the US, where his Aussie good looks won him the job hosting the syndicated half-hour breakfast show, Surprise! Good Morning!. Every morning for eight years, Tench knocked on the door of a criminal, welfare recipient or major celebrity – in the case of Danny Bonaduce, all three – and interviewed them in their pyjamas.

He became a regular guest on shows ranging from Today to Larry King Live, Donahue MSNBC and The Bold & The Beautiful.

Never shy of being controversial, Tench used these appearances to launch his campaign to have French cuffs renamed freedom cuffs in the wake of the war on terror. A man of action, not just attitude, he now drives a Porsche 911 out of respect for the victims of 9/11.

Outside of television, David is a romantic and a patriot. He didn’t see service in Vietnam, but he did see Miss Saigon 15 times. (He still wakes up screaming “No encore” at 3am.) He has also published poetry under his pen name of Dayvid Tench.

David has two children (Marcelle & Gigi) to his first wife, former French clay-court specialist Yvette Conchon.

David has decided to return to Australian television to “give something back to the industry” that gave him his start.

David Mott, chief programming officer of TEN, says: “We are delighted to have David Tench and his unique brand of hard-hitting light entertainment here at Ten. He’s not just all class. He’s world class.”

Imagine having Pat Rafter as your first guest. Who gives a crap?

Talk about old news!
maybe that's the point though, his guests are crap because he's washed up etc. and his show sucks, perhaps it's part of the joke.

I'm far from sold on it going by the promos but i'll give it a watch still.
