Carry over points only last for 12 months, and he got the 93 carry over points that he has from a rough conduct charge from the 21st of May 2010, meaning that as of the 21st of May 2011, Dawes' carry-over points will expire.

He just has to keep his hands to himself for the next three games, and he'll have nothing hanging over his head.

Great result, correct result, and credit to the tribunal for bringing some sanity into proceedings!! On a related note, this whole tribunal/MRP system really sh*ts me to tears!!!

Firstly, I can scarcely express how frustrating I find it that two "charges", each individually incapable of grounding an actual suspension, can be added together to rub players out. It seems anomalous that players can be suspended and have to cop the result (ineligibility for the brownlow; potentially missing finals) of two seperate incidents not serious enough to draw the same final result on their own.

Secondly, can these w*nkers who run our game stop turning it into a court of law! Why (I understand the evolution, but it still frustrates me) is it necessary for all parties to use and rely on legalese terminology? Footballers cannot be charged with assault on the field, within reason, so must we apply legal terminology and damn-near forensic analysis to every split-moment of a footballer's action? As if every second incident on the field couldn't be broadly classified as "low impact, negligent, high contact"! Fl*gs.

That's my rant. But good for Dawesy - let's hope he kicks 10.
