If we got pick 4 and Aish for Beams I think we come out winners. Aish looks a gun and we get a crack at another player. Could set us up for the next 4-5 years providing they don't keep walking out when we do develop them.

Look Aish will be good but Mayes is the one we should be really pushing for will become a genuine gun.

Melbourne-Clarke for pies third rounder
Pies- Beams for Danger, O'Rourke and Pick 10.

Draft day we pick up Moore (pick 8), pick 10 (speed and foot skills- Pickett?) and upgrades of Frost and Martin with our later picks.

It appears Beams is genuine about his desire to be with his sick father in QLD. Note-his dad lives on the Gold Coast.

Therefore Beams would be happy to play for either QLD club, preferring Brisbane because of his brother. It's certainly not for the chance at a flag and I doubt it's about the money as he'll be well remunerated wherever he goes.

Brisbane will need to offer pick 4/5 + a decent young player. We won't budge on this. We just hold out and then go to Beams near the end of trade period and say if you really want to get to QLD we can get you too the Gold Coast, unfortunately Brisbane hasn't offered us an acceptable deal. Gold Coast have offered us a better deal. Even outline the deals to Beams to show the difference. Gold Coast just have more currency. As an opposition team, it's better for him to go to Brisbane who are shit, than to go to the Gold Coast who are going to be playing finals as of next year.

As I said, if Beams is genuine in his reasons for leaving, he won't mind who he plays for up here.

In addition, Greg Swann (not Eddies favourite person anymore) would want to make a statement to his members. They've already ****ed up with Ryder. If Brisbane miss out on a 2nd gun player that wanted to play for them, questions will be asked.

Funny how no Brisbane supporters are mentioning the way j brown was carrying on about him on the footy show.

Unless he was on the league footy show than noone from Brisbane would have seen it as we don't get it here. Can't speak for Melb lions fans though

Father-son pick is before trade week. We will know by then if (a) we have spent pick 8 on Moore or (b) we have spent pick 26 on Moore or (c) the unlikely situation that we have failed to match another teams bid on Moore and he is not going to be a Collingwood player.

Most likely by the time trade week comes around we wont have 8 any more because we will have allocated that pick to drafting Moore.

Laverde is a smooth mover, has a nice side step and skills. Around 190cm.

De Goey same height. Has skills but for me ATM more a fwd with potential to play mid.

And lonergan is built similar to freeman with pace. Has been injured a lot but looks the goods IMO.
