So many absolute spuds in the team it's no wonder there struggling. If Cripps isn't firing or Curnow there a bottom 4 team. Walsh out has also killed them. Probably their most consistent mid who works both ways and without him the others that are there are getting their weaknesses exposed consistently. Even some of the younger guys are about as vanilla as you can get. Ollie Hollands would be @ BH every week. Just a nothing player, Motlop likewise. Recruiting has been diabolical and reeks of arrogance thinking the list is way better than it actually is. I have no sympathy for them at all. Delusions of grandeur for decades but these days they are a laughing stock for having that mindset.

I can't remember a season where the difference between the top 9 teams and the bottom 9 is so wide.

Usually you get say a clear top 6 teams then another 8 teams fighting for the 7th/8th spot and finally a bottom four cellar dwellers.

And as you say Billy rounds like this one really makes that gap stand out.

I think they need to trade out the talent they have got if they want to get serious about a proper rebuild. Hit the draft hard in the next 3 years and fill in the gaps in the interim with free agents and pre/mid season draft bargains.

I doubt they will be allowed to though, they have been impatient for success for decades.
