You're actually wishing to get thrashed by huge margins and have the young players go into the pre-season with that? And by the scum?

I've never said this to anyone before but,

Hand in your Bombers scarf mate.
Remember that awesome win we had against Freo late last year that really rallied the troops for this season and cost us a top 5 pick?

Yeah that was great!!!

No one said anything about wins. Competitive losses is one thing but when you start wishing for demoralising smashing losses and by Carlton at that then the only thing actually lost is yourself.

We need talent, top line talent.

I could give a **** about a smashing in a dead rubber match, even to the scum.

Our position on the ladder will be determined by the losses we happen to accrue, the amount of which will fall as it may. In the meantime we have group that'll form the bulk of the team we're taking into the next few years and a culture/game plan we're trying to sell.

The moment you start literally hoping for smashings, over the simple acceptance of losses, and start sticking your ass up for the scum is the moment you go from being a supporter to basically a sadistic spectator.

In the meantime we have a group of young players that'll form the bulk of the team that'll make that push in the future and a culture/game-plan we're trying to sell to them and have them gain confidence in even in a loss. We as supporters should have the integrity to support that as the bare minimum.

Doesn't matter now, Richmond getting smashed.

Oh and me accepting a smashing has no bearing on how the club plays now or in the future.

Also that win didn't "rally the troops for this season". We had a spate of losses following that and a couple bad ones, and upon a further substantual culling of the list of experience we went into this season with the acceptance that it was going to be a tough one in which we would finish low. We were already in the bottom 2 for weekly selected sides in terms of experience prior to the injuries. The fact that you would even frame it the way you did shows your integrity which based on your recent posts is a lackthereof.
You are taking this far too seriously.

Accepting =/= desiring.

And it may not but it definitely has a bearing on your lack of integrity and the image you're projecting on the rest of us as supporters of this club.

Salivating over a being pummelled by the scum. Lowest of low.
Go outside man, get some air.

If Geelong draw or lose, then Adelaide won't have anything to play for as they would finish first. They may then rest many of their important players after a difficult game vs Collingwood and a close game vs West Coast.

If North win vs Adelaide next week and we lose both, then they finish above us.

in the end, things have gone perfectly over the last couple of weeks. people had rocks in their heads when being annoyed that the Saints only just got over Richmond. The Tigers were only ever 50/50 to beat North. We almost got a win over the Saints because they suck too and even if that had happened we were still in a good position to finish 15th. now we can beat carlton and maybe even GC to spoil a finals appearance without any harm.

a fluke one point victory is very different to a series of complete smashes to end the season, particularly one against Carlton. the obvious problem being the heat it places on staff which could led to some silly decisions being made (and I was annoyed by the fluke win last season and said so)

The only person who has used the word desire is you.

For the record I couldn't care if we lost the lost the last two games in a nothing season. It means about as much to me as your opinion in telling me to hand in my scarf.

It was the Saints win over North that was the costly one. People were saying how it was good for us because we had St Kilda's 2nd round pick and kept them above Melbourne, but North winning that and beating Richmond was always the most realistic way we would finish 16th

One thing we can say for Cake; if ever there comes a time when we want to dump a pile of horse shit in the Tulla car park and set it on fire, I'd wager Cake would do the job. Can't fault the passion.
