With the mid season break upon us it has been said that Denis & co. will be reviewing our list for next year and beyond. It is time I believe to start playing our future ahead of players just making up numbers for the remainder of the season. In my opinion:

Players certain to be on list next year :
Adam Bentick, Eddie Betts, Luke Blackwell, Andrew Carrazzo, Brendan Fevola, Brad Fisher, Adam Hartlett, Ryan Houlihan, Josh Kennedy, Matthew Lappin, Dylan McLaren, Marc Murphy, Jordan Russell, Kade Simpson, Jason Saddington, Nick Stevens, Brett Thornton, Jarrad Waite, Andrew Walker, Lance Whitnall, Simon Wiggins.

Players who will play this year but not certain from 2007:
Barnaby French, Anthony Koutoufides, Adrian DeLuca, Chris Bryan, Sentanta O'hAilpin, Luke Livingston, Trent Sporn, Justin Davies.

Players to be delisted or traded: (Have had enough chances - don't play )
Callum Chambers, Troy Longmuir, Ian Prendergast, David Teague, Jordan Bannister.

Players still developing ( Will be on list but not ready for AFL as yet ):
Paul Bower, Jake Edwards,Craig Flint, Ryan Jackson, Aisake O'hAilpin, Jesse Smith, Daniel Batson.

Just on that list, whats happening to chris bryan att he moment? i remember i think it was the carlton v st.kilda match last year and he looked really good? has been pushed aside since mclaren has been at the club? could someone shed some light into where he's at? thanks

Disciplinary problems supposedly. Heard that a couple of weeks ago. As to how far away he will be from playing again, i have no idea.

I think by seasons end carlton just needs to cut loose all the players that obviously arent going to become good players for us, we all know who they are. It should be a serious trim down, not just cut a few, keep a few. Get rid of them all. It will make our list less cluttered and will make the club apear alot more sorted out.

I think Justin Davies deserves more opportunity. I like his agression at the ball and contest and would hate to let him go. Also believe will have plenty of players moving on, hence the opportunity to keep him on for another year should be there. Rotation into the midfield is an area we do lack.

Dont get me wrong, I've been quite happy with his form this year but I wouldnt imagine Wiggins to be a certainty... A handful of good games over a number of years doesnt quite cut it for mine.

Dont mind if we keep him but I'd like to see him used as trade bait to be honest.

teague, S O'hAilpin, french, deluca, are all contracted for 2007 unlikely we will get any value for these guys in a trade so they will see out 2007.

You are generally on the ball except that Carlos will certainly be retained and probably French unless there is another good ruckman in the psd:thumbsu:

You are a comedian of the highest order arent ya? By "Wiggins showing a bit" do you mean the 3-4 decent games he's played this year? Fantastic, it's only taken him 6 years!

Remind me again where I mentioned Murphy Rain Man :thumbsu:

All Carlton needs to do is the following

  1. Sack Dennis Pagan
  2. Give Essendon FC Troy Longmuir for Mark Bolton
Then I will be happy for you lot :thumbsu:

I bet Scott Camporeale is spewing he left one "****" team for an ever "****ter" team!! LOL I think it's funny!

The future is at the Blues Campo. You walked, you miss out!

Is that thing about Bryan and discipline true or just some BS rumour?

Definitely not. I have written this several times on BF, so one more time wont hurt.

At the Carlton/Port practice match earlier this year, I sat in front of the Carlton coaches box for the game. One of the stats guys came out during the breaks and was talking to someone he knew in the crowd right next to me.

I just happened to ask him how a few of the younger blokes were going and one of them included Bryan. He basically said that he had a shyte attitude, and he was nowhere near senior selection.

Livingston *Luke 04/11/82 184cm 97kg Is not up to AFL standard has had many chances and should never play for Carlton again
Prendergast *Ian 02/09/80 192cm 98kg Is not up to AFL standard good VFL player
Chambers *Callum 19/11/79 184cm 78kg Is not up to AFL standard
Sporn *Trent 23/09/82 187 85 Is not up to AFL standard
Davies *Justin 07/07/83 184 80 Is not up to AFL standard
Bannister *Jordan 31/10/82 190cm 88kg Is not up to AFL standard great VFL player
Deluca *Adrian 15/05/82 202cm 99kg Is not up to AFL standard great VFL player
Saddington *Jason 23/10/79 194 93 not what we are looking for
Longmuir *Troy 27/05/79 184 81 he is not up to it as well, good VFL player

Houlihan *Ryan21/01/82 187 84 hoping we can trade him to a club that needs him

Koutoufides *Anthony 18/01/73 191 98 He is a great player and has been one of the best and I hope he will come out and play the last games of the year as we know he can then retire before the last game so we can say goodbye the right way

As this draft is a very good one we need to get the right team balance and players that we can turn in to top players
Anyone that has been watching the TAC Cup and APS can see the standard is very good

As well as all the interstate players that are coming through I’m sure this will be the best draft as in depth for a long time

How the hell can you say that he is not up to AFL standard!?!?!?!?!? He is on the rookie list, for gods sake. He hasn't had the opportunity to play an AFL game. Jesse is a very good player, and I would be surprised if he isn't elevated at the end of the year, or given a chance during this year to show us what he's capable of for the blues.
