- Melbourne ...HELLO i mean how easy?
ok here are the delistings for the club this year. The retirement of Anthony Ingerson has meant that Melbourne will have five picks in the Draft, being 9, 25, 26, 56 and 73.
Ben Beams, a late inclusion to the Demons' Grand Final side last year, never managed to consolidate a regular senior berth. As one of many small midfielders at the club, he has been overtaken by the likes of Luke Williams, Simon Godfrey and youngster Scott Thompson. At 23 years of age and with 23 games to his name in four years at the club, Beams has had his opportunities and just wasn't built for playing football at the top level.
Steven Pitt, thrown a lifeline by Melbourne at the beginning of 2000, was unable to make the most of his second stint in the AFL. Despite performing well for Sandringham, Pitt was not rewarded frequently with games for the Demons. At 28 years of age, he was not worth holding on to for another season.
Mitchell Craig, picked up at 80 in last years' National Draft was always going to be a gamble, given his basketball background. He has obviously not developed at the pace the club would have liked.
Shannon O'Brien, given two seasons at the club failed to play a senior game and has consequently found himself discarded.
Instead of having five picks in the National Draft, Melbourne has several other options.
Darren Jolly, who played four senior games this year has to return to the Rookie List but can be promoted prior to the draft, which means that Melbourne would have to de-list another player to have its' fifth Draft pick.
Alternatively, at the National Draft, Melbourne can pass its' final pick to have a pick in the Pre-season Draft in December. More de-listings can be made up to the Pre-season Draft.
Apparently there are going to be a couple of more delistings. after the first couple of weeks of pre season training. so we might se a couple more go.
(i got this from demonology btw)

) so why should they get rid of him? We need defenders and he has potential so they kept him!
