don't know. Too drunk to know, too pissed to care!
Other Teams
Melbourne ...HELLO i mean how easy?
ok here are the delistings for the club this year. The retirement of Anthony Ingerson has meant that Melbourne will have five picks in the Draft, being 9, 25, 26, 56 and 73.

Ben Beams, a late inclusion to the Demons' Grand Final side last year, never managed to consolidate a regular senior berth. As one of many small midfielders at the club, he has been overtaken by the likes of Luke Williams, Simon Godfrey and youngster Scott Thompson. At 23 years of age and with 23 games to his name in four years at the club, Beams has had his opportunities and just wasn't built for playing football at the top level.

Steven Pitt, thrown a lifeline by Melbourne at the beginning of 2000, was unable to make the most of his second stint in the AFL. Despite performing well for Sandringham, Pitt was not rewarded frequently with games for the Demons. At 28 years of age, he was not worth holding on to for another season.

Mitchell Craig, picked up at 80 in last years' National Draft was always going to be a gamble, given his basketball background. He has obviously not developed at the pace the club would have liked.

Shannon O'Brien, given two seasons at the club failed to play a senior game and has consequently found himself discarded.

Instead of having five picks in the National Draft, Melbourne has several other options.

Darren Jolly, who played four senior games this year has to return to the Rookie List but can be promoted prior to the draft, which means that Melbourne would have to de-list another player to have its' fifth Draft pick.

Alternatively, at the National Draft, Melbourne can pass its' final pick to have a pick in the Pre-season Draft in December. More de-listings can be made up to the Pre-season Draft.

Apparently there are going to be a couple of more delistings. after the first couple of weeks of pre season training. so we might se a couple more go.

(i got this from demonology btw)

Glad Beams has gone. He has never been able to quite make it.
They never gave Pitt a go. I thought he had potential but was not given much of a chance to show it.
I've never heard of Mitchell Craig and I've never seen Shannon O'Brien.

I think Clarke should have gone. Glad they kept Funcke.

Ok well if you didn't get my message above....... I AM VERY HAPPY CLARKY IS STAYING! :)
When i read the post the first time i just scrolled to the bottom to see if Clarky was there and posted immidietly thinking that they were gonna delist Jolly........ than i actually read it and stuff....... so yeah!
Well what can i say? what had to be done had to be done and they delisted players who have really not done much for the team so its ok im not upset, although Beams was alrite.
Anyways Clarky is staying dees01 so stuff u and everyone else who thought he should go! :p

There is no need to get personal. Anyway I don't think these are official. I read in yesterday's paper that they may get rid of Lamb, which I would not be to happy about so those four may have a few more joining them.

But what has Clarke done to deserve to stay on the list? NOTHING in my book.

They also said that there may be more before the pre season draft, so i wouldnt get too cocky about Clarky staying. He hasnt done much in the time he has been there. If he doesnt get delisted this year. next year WILL be his last.

OI! what is your problem with Clarky? what has he ever done to you? he has been a valuable player for Sandy this year (which you would know if you bothered watching some reserves game! ) so why should they get rid of him? We need defenders and he has potential so they kept him!
I hope they don't let him go, he has potential and he will be a good player once he is given a chance to impress (if i recall it correctly Robbo was in a worse situation than Clarky's and look where he is now.......)

First of all, watching reserves games, how boring. I have better things to do with my time.
If Clarky has been so good he would have had a game by now. In particular at the end of this year when the season was over.

hmm bout clarky...why was benny dropped b4 him? coz benny has been playing good in the reserves and even got a few senior games where as clarky didn't do either...nuffin against clarky..but yeh..

I didn't say you have to watch reserves game, but if you don't than don't critisis coz you obviously wouldn't know.
Clarky didn't get a go, but neither did Lamb which you like so much (and no 5 mins on the ground is NOT a go!)... Melbourne selection comitee were obviously too busy trying to fit Grgic into the team line up! :p

Um, how can Mitchell Craig be delisted? If he was in fact drafted in 2000 its impossible to delist him because all draftees are guaranteed two years on the senior list, therefore are protected from being delisted in their first year.

Cheers

he was drafted as a rookie, therefor that guarantee doesn't apply.

(omg, how smart did i sound?!?!?)

Actually you're wrong, Mitch Craig was drafted at pick 80 in the National Draft of 2000, not in the rookie draft therefore he CANNOT be delisted.

Where did you get this info from?
