4 premiership points is defensible. Intestity was present but player skills were rather scrappy throughout the game.

Skills come with confidence, which comes with wins. Just gotta keep with the intensity up. That's all we can really ask for with our injuries and hopefully we squeeze out some wins.

Effort was the high point of the night for me. Yep we turned it over, our skills were terrible but the effort was there. I found that very encouraging.

I also thought that we struggled to link up and some of the errors were from players not reading each other but improved as the game went on.
If you make 7 changes with a debut and 3 coming back from a very long term absence it could take time for them to get into rythm

Would have thought Lower is capable of shutting down a small forward. Broughton offers much more offensively, and you look better in midfield when he is in there?

Fair point. I don't know how good Lower is as a lock down defender, but Broughton is a very good negating defender, and uses the ball well in the back half.

Broughton has played as a midfielder before and done reasonably well, but today is a the first time that I remember that he had such a good game there.

May be an option going forward... if the small forward is a good overhead mark, then Broughton is the right match up. If not, then Lower seems a good option. Maybe give both guys a go at each role and provide some flexibility.

It felt a lot like a flashback to the days of Drummy, where other struggling teams would come over, we'd play like shit, yet sneak home with a win in the end (except 2001) because so many clubs couldn't play in Perth.

With Pavlich being so dominant again, it's hard to see the direction that the club is heading in.
WE gotcha ,were shit when we lose and shit when we win:rolleyes:

Luenburger, Black, Rockliff, Redden, Power and Rich is a powerful midfield.

Our midfield without our three most important personel Mundy, Barlow and im including Sandilands (just was not fit, looked uncomftable and didnt have the influence he usualy does, i mean keplar and clarke were doing better!) just does not come close to theirs at almost full strength.

Taps to advantage were average when we are USED TO amazing, while mundy and barlow continously find space for themselves and create for others.

Games are won and lost in the midfield. Which makes me bloody happy to come away with the win, even in a scrap against a bottom 3 team.

The injuries are another case entirely!
