If ever there was a time Fraser had to pull one out, it's tomorrow. You can't help but feel that with all the goings on that if he doesn't respond it may be curtains for him. The game has all the ingredients for a leader to stand up and be counted.
Thoughts ?

He has played about 5 good games in the last 5 years. That's 1 per year. He played a great game vNorth the first time. Don't hold your breath!

No different to any other home and away game for Fraser

fraser needs to have a very good end to the season.. play well in all games.. unlikely. i think he'll manage to get injuered agaon and miss the rest of the year after this match.. i hope he gets traded next year.. a model fooballer- dedicated does all the right tuff off the field- but unfortunately cant do the right thing on the field.. this guy needs to be traded.. not didak..

the team sheet this week should have read

OUT: Bryan
IN: Wood

so id say its a defining game for fraser and bryan considering their performance last week i cant believe they aren't giving wood a run !!

Wood played for our VFL side and was very ordinary. He is Guy Richards MARK II. No physical presence. You can't play 2 ruckmen with no physical presence in the one side.

so you gave away your first pick in last years draft for "Guy Richards MARK II" ?

uh oh.

No, just an idiot judging a 20 year old ruckman like he should be dominating.

Feel free to point outthe other 20 year old ruckmen in the comp doing anything of note....

Thanks for the rap Thommo. Feel free to let me know when Wood actually does anything more for us than Guy Richards ever did. I simply cannot cop soft ruckmen, it does not matter what age they are. And no, I don't expect him to dominate at the age of 20, but to show the right signs of physicality, placement of the body, ability to find the football, to kick the ball well ect. On all these measures, I do not see any difference to Guy Richards. Hope I am wrong, but time will tell.

This is harsh wood can take contested marks which makes hims a zillion times better than stretch already.

yes he needs bulk and to learn to throw his weight around, but he is 21 it'll come.

With the bryan out wood in call, you must take into account the Saints ruckman, we'll try and have a Bryan against blake at all time meaning bryan should monster him. Wood wouldnt be able to monester blake let alone match king

Yep definitely agree on this. Both slow and very un-physical. The same type player really.
I feel Bryan breaks that up a bit

I don't see much by way of comparison between Wood and Richards. As Opti points out, Wood can take a contested mark, which is more than Richards ever managed. In fact, Richards' team-mates wouldn't even trust him to take an uncontested mark, and hence avoided him altogether.

As for the OP, I agree with Chase the Ace. This is nothing special for Fraser. He's already had MMs full backing in the media as the club's #1 ruckman, he's in the leadership group and is well-regarded at the Lexus Centre. The idea of trading Fraser is something that has gained some legs on BigFooty, but is far removed from reality. It won't happen, at least certainly not this year.

It may be a defining game for Stanley though. He's had great VFL form, and if given a chance in the middle for once, he will be expected to have that form translate to the big-time.

Apparently the Current players are hopeless and we should just buy out the Dapto under 13 Rugby League Juniors and start with a clean slate.

Fraser is our Number One Ruckman....down on form or playing his best.

I know - sad isnt it!

Be so cool if he could tap to the midfielders advantage!!

ill admit ive been dissapointed with fraser this year, but his game tonight was just what the club needed.

well done josh

I sit in bay N11 and when the siren went, I could see pretty clearly the emotion that Josh was feeling. He grabbed his jumper and kissed it and showed it to the crowd. I think tonight's game was big for Josh.

Played a ripper tonight, we need him doing that week in week out

At the end of the game he grabbed his jumper and showed it to the crowd, showed a bit of passion
