Nope and in truth a few of us have been worried about his fitness for a while. Apparently there is a back issue but if so he simply shouldn't be playing. And likewise as far as I'm concerned you take the field you're fit. Lake thrashed him - especially in the second half - and there are no excuses.

Yeah ours weren't great, but Gunston was pretty bad. And has been every time Geelong have played Hawthorn. What gives?

The most important component of this thread is the observation that Hawthorn carry about 13-15 downhill skiers every week and are massively over-hyped by the media. Geelong should have won by a hell of a lot more. Unfortunately this might be remembered as a 'thriller' or a 'close game' but the Hawks were pantsed plain and simple

Those umps did the best they could. Just like in the 2012 GF.

Gunston had a poor first quarter but was good after 1/4 time. He also kicked 4 on Lonergan in the 2nd game last year
