Can someone please tell me when the club announces who it has delisted.

Thanks.
*Before you say it Thy, i couldn't be bothered going through heaps and heaps of threads dedicated to who posters think will be delisted in order to see if someone had asked the same question. night hunny bunch. :thumbsu:

I'd imagine probably relate to these two dates ...

Friday 31 October (2.00pm) - CLUB LIST LODGEMENT LIST 1: MAXIMUM 35 PLAYERS, ROOKIE PROMOTION, RETAINED ROOKIES, SCHOLARSHIP PLAYER TRANSFER AND INTERNATIONAL SCHOLARSHIP

Friday 14 November (2.00pm) - LIST LODGEMENT

This year it's after trade week for us. Want to maximise our chances of someone possibly having a nibble at our unwanted players I guess.
I can just see opposition recruiters dying to get their hands on Jason Saddington.

The club said they'll be delisting 2 players once they get back from their end of season trip as they wanted all guys to still feel as if they were still part of the group.

The rest of the delistings will come after trade week.

Source: B&F night.

I believe so far, the players set for the chop are Ackland, Saddington, Benjamin, Blackwell and Bannister ..

Shhhh............can anyone say "Freo".:thumbsu:

No surprises there celtic. Bannister appears the unlucky one because of an untimely injury. Benjamin is the major disappointment from that list. I wouldn't have thought any of this group would attrtact any interest from opposition clubs.

The sad truth is, if the Bulldogs can manage to delist a club champion and legend cause his body is shot (Scott West) I think the club would have no choice but to delist Bannister ...

I don't think we have much choice to retain him anymore, he is not a part of our best 22, and I think he'll probably just play footy for the Bullants with his brother next year if he can get his body right ..

agree. but it would have been interesting to see how he would have gone if he didn't get injured. He was definitely in our best 22 at the start of the season and playing well.

Yes he is, a crucial part at that. These comments are clearly by someone who doesn't follow the games closely enough. He was our most important player before he was injured.

The importance of a good quality tagger cannot be underrated in this day and age.

its funny, i think a lot of Carlton fans have said that every year since 2004 yet he still has an impact and still gets games (when fit) and still plays a role.

Id be cutting a few others before bannister.

Bannister will go and we will get young taggers in the draft ( you would think) plus Gibbs taggs once in a while;)

But was Benjiman meant to be good he was fast a meant have crack a game:confused:

Whilst i think yes to in our best as a run with player, "our most important player" is a fair stretch

What a load of crap, i'm talking from this point in, the club's depth and quality has improved, and you think Bannister is our most 'important' player before he was injured ...

Each year, every club has to delist at least 6 players (not including rookies) from it's list, and I tihnk the club will ask Bannister to 'retire' ...

Make no mistake, he was an good (not great) player, but he's no Cameron Ling.
The future lies in youth ...

Some people in this board seriously overrate Bannister ...
