just been watching the demo derby again with my stkilda loving mate, such awesome memories, firstly i cant remember us being so far behind, but we got 42 points in arears, what an effort, i of course remember the punching, but other parts that had escaped my memory were the following:

troy cook smashing mitchell white, what a bump, broken ribs galore

clive kicking 7, the guy was such an enigma, cant help but love him, he really was built for our club

phil matera smashing himself on the back of an umpire, i still almost wet myself watching it

darren glass stuffing the opportunity to win the game, missed the sealer by fumbling more than ryan lonie on grandfinal day

glen jackovich being an even bigger tosser than i remember him being, he is the man i love to hate though

a young paul hasleby looking a million dollars with his skills and composure

what a game!!! my favourite of all time without a doubt :D:thumbsu:

My two favourite moments from that game KPR. Troy Cook mowed down White like a truck running over a dog in the street. The funny thing was that as soon as White looked up he was looking into Cook's Shoulder. LOL Awesome bump.

7 Goals to the main man Mr Waterhouse. He could be awful, he could be amazing. On that day he played his finest game when we needed most. Jackovich was always a bully against Freo, even continuing to when he slapped Croad in the face. Always hated that piece of human trash.

Great memories. Not to mention the legend of the 'One punch Dodd'

My favourite game!:D:thumbsu:

That bump from Cookie would have to be the greatest shirtfront ever handed out by a Freo player. And probably always will be now the AFL is making players too scared to go for big bumps anymore.

glad to see that the memories remain :thumbsu: i sit right on the opposition interchange, front row, if your near me you will probably know me as the smart ares young blonde guy giving it to the opposition, anyhow, i remember after white got carried off, a mad dockers fan went down and was right next to me, and started giving it to the eagles medical staff, if you watch the game you will see it. this guy absolutely rips into mitchell white, at the time i thought that was a bit harsh, i was only 15 at the time, then my old man said to me "you shouldnt do that mate, its plain bad sportsmanship, but when it comes to west coast, special exceptions can be made"... i still to this day dont know if dad meant that, i will ask him on chrissy day. :D

that game for me, was more than a game, the weagles can say that we take the derbies more serious than other games, and bag us for not yet winning a flag, good on them, i never listen to a word any of they say anyway... but that game, we stood up to the likes of gardiner, jackovich, read and said that "the fremantle football club will not put up with your shit any more".... hence the reason i go by KPR....... that game for me is the defining game in our history, people bag kickett as a thug, i call him a fremantle legend...... we stood up that day, 42 points down, against a stronger, tougher side and said we will not lay down any more...... the only way that game can be taken over as my favourite, is with a premiership win...... hopefully it will be my second favourite game in the near future :thumbsu:

Interesting - Mitchell White works for the real estate management company that manages my building and he came in to check out our floor last week. Next time he comes in, I'll put my dreadlocks wig on, paint my face black and line him up, see if he flinches. I'm a bit bigger than cookie, but not as effective I imagine.

Not my local, but i think ill go and hire out out for the Xmas holidays :D

My main memory from that day is walking back with my cousin after getting some hot chips, to see Gardiner in the goal square with Pav, backing off, throwing slaps like a bitch, and Pav just kept coming at him :D

Oh man, and Kicketty's arms flying through the air like some japanese cartoon character. Lol man. Awesome.

Dirty Read deserved every single bit of it.

One of my favourites too. I bought the video almost straight after the game and watched cookies bump an infinite (and beyond) number of times. Poor whitey was never the same after that.

And while I always thought Mitchell Whilte was one of the most decent blokes to ever wear the toast colours, there was never a more deserving bloke to be on the end of a pair of fists than Phil Read. I thought Kicketty's comments that he had injured ribs and was expecting Read to belt him when wasn't looking (or something like that) was a pretty accurrate assessment of the situation :D
