You know what I find funny......?

The audacity and simplicity of mind of those who argue against Port Adelaide.

Really, you would have to be an imbicilic simpleton to even suggest their is a club any where near the greatness in the AFL of Port Adelaide.

The PAFC is the greatest ornament to the code of Australian rules the world has ever seen,
It is Australias greatest and most successful league football club, It is the AFL's most successful club.

The club has the most fair-minded,unbiased knowledgable,articulate,rational,informed,
intelligent supporters in the AFL, we offer the other AFL clubs the opportunity of pitting themselves against the greatest club in Australia...
The AFL saw fit to include the PAFC into their competition, to raise the profile, standard and intelligence of the league.

The best thing that has happened to the AFL apart from its discarding the old VFL is the inclusion of Port Adelaide...

I never realised, are you asking if any of what you said is in dispute?

I know I am called to defend and attack in the general boards, but here in the PA board what you have said is common knowledge, it is taken as gospel that all who enter know the truth.

What you have said is fact, not open to dispute or even discussion!!!!

Well most of what you say is true although I think you have not given enough credit to Port supporters. But anyway...
I see it a bit differently I suppose. I see Port dominating a SA competition the way no club dominated any other competition. That doesn't mean I don't respect the VFL and some of their traditional clubs. I think the VFL had many great clubs and chmapions, while South Australia had mainly Port, with the odd exception along the way. Now reasonable Victorians know this, and accept our tradition and unmatched level of superiority, while I for one am prepared to salute their CLub's brief moments of excellence in their equal and equivalent competition. Now it is a new competition, and as the new Club in that particular one, we have a lot of work to do to perform consistently at a level I think befits us. But the most any other Club is in front of us is two flags, isn't it? I mean, I didn't follow AFL before Port went in so I could stand to be corrected on that.

Do not stand to be corrected with your last comment, the most any club is in front of us in premierships is two.

We have had no influence on how premierships were won in the VFL/AFL before 1997 so why should we be held responsible for the amount of flags teams like Carlton, Collingwood and Essendon have.

As I see it the score stands Adelaide 2, Kangaroos 1 and Essendon 1.

All posts to do with this topic up to and including this one are true and correct, we will not let anyone tell us differently, we are Port Adelaide of course.

PA1870, Port is one of the great clubs of Australian football. I would rank them up there with Carlton, Essendon and Collingwood. We are a great Australian club but you can't call us a great AFL club yet. Only when we start preforming like Carlton or Essendon on a regular basis will be the only time people will take us serious as a great AFL club.

Well Scott that is one way of looking at it, but I think we have a hard enough time excluding the VFL premierships never mind trying to exclude the AFL ones we couldn't influence. But it's a nice thought anyway.
