This should be a close contest. I tip freo by 7 points. If freo win this game, im sure the rest of the clubs will be looking at us with alot more focus.

We need to get a big win under our belts to give us some percentage, this might be the match to get it.

They'll continue to win games if they play within their limitations- keep it tight, man up, close up space.
WE haven't an explosive midfield - hard workers. WE only have to win

I'd forget about a percentage booster, melbourne are actually playing some pretty decent footy. I'd be very happy with a win, going to tip them this week so they'll probably lose - only tipped the Carlton game right so far and that hardly counts.

Couldnt agree more.

Melbourne coming off 3 straight wins by 6 points or less. Due for either a loss or a big win.

Fremantle have a much harder squad than Melbourne, Dodd will shut down Bruce. The Melbourne forward line is no match for our back line and Pavlich/McPharlin/Farmer/Medhurst should be a big pill for the melbourne boys to swallow.

Freo by 22 pts.

No need reminding there Underdog. They've been trying to beat that horrible style out of our lads for ages.

Hopefully the form displayed on the weekend is a taste of things to come.

Freo would have to be confident going into this one, they've had the wood over us over the last couple of years at the 'G. Farmer is the key I think. If he sneaks three or four goals like he did last year that could be the difference.

dont get too cocky, lol

farmer always turns it on when playing melbourne & with one week off he'll be champing at the bit
i think we'll win

but with the proviso it doesn't rain

Should be great game to watch, Im going as I live in melbourne and will be only of a few Fremantle Supporters there and god it will be good if we win, imagine the minority of the supporters going AWAL, hmmm I can picture it now :p Freo by 15 points.

Hey meatray, has there been snow reported on the slopes ?, if so Freo supporters may be in the majority at the ground.

There is still improvement left in the Freo team. eg. Elvis to fire, Wiz back, Medhurst to adjust the radar, Haze to play a fit full game etc.

i just want us to win i have a bad feeling about this game whenever we get over confident we get beaten id rather we go as underdogs in this match.

I think if we can hold Pavlich and McPharlin to 5 or less between them, we should win. However if they kick 6 or more between them it will be very hard.
Should be a good game.

Should be a fairly comfortable win for Freo (3-4 goals), probably not a thrashing though. Melbourne will have trouble containing Pav, McPharlin, Farmer, Medhurst and co, but Freo will struggle in the ruck division up against Jeff White. Midfield battle should be pretty even (maybe the Dees have a slight edge with Bruce in some serious form. Down back isn't going to be easy with Robbo, Neitz and Davey, but apart from Davey the other 2 haven't been in great form, so hopefully they don't regain it this week.

If you guys could see your way clear to ensuring Pav doesn't play, I'd appreciate it. :) I can just see him ripping us a big, fat new one. McPharlin too, now that I think about it. Knowing the Dees, I could just see the two of them kicking 10 between 'em.

Seriously, though, I think it'll be a good, close game. I'm not terribly confident about winning, but as you guys would well know, Freo has a habit of winning the games it shouldn't and losing the ones it should. After an excellent win last week the Dockers should win, but...

I think both teams should win and it is level pegging, as I don't see a clear favourite.
Makes for a good game. Both teams would usually lose this after winning the hard one.
