Hey all... Sorry for perhaps a bit of a dumb question however just wanted to know which Derby this year was our home game?

Is it the round 8 or 18 match?

Just looking to perhaps bring Mrs Samseenee over to experience her first Derby this year!

Cheers
Sam :thumbsu:

Incidentally, after Anzac Day against the Bulldogs, we don't get another "home" game until 28th May

It's an interesting quirk of the draw with you guys going 5 weeks between home games

We only go 4 weeks as our bye doesn't fall in between the run of away games.

However both teams also get a run of 3 home games in 4 weeks.

I think were we do get an advantage over you guys in the draw is that both of our byes come after away games (particularly our Tassie trip) - whereas yours both come after games at Subi.

A break after an away game isnt going to help Worsfold become a better coach.

Nor will it remedy the substandard skill of your side.

I watched the Gold Coast game live, a long year awaits.

Why the hate? It's not like he slagged Freo at all in his post.

The man stated it was an advantage to have a bye after an away game.

Simply pointing out that this advantage is null and void for a side with a poor coach and even worse skills.

Thanks for the heartfelt assessment

Much interest in the season will be how many different usernames you can come up with and get carded.

I'm backing you in for 4.

Lol.

Im just speaking plainly here, your side looks decidely average.

The gameplan, if you can call it that, is terrible. Footskills are non existant.

It will be a long and you will have a new coach for 2012.

You're more than welcome to discuss our side on our board ;)

I hope we are average this year - should mean we finish about 8th-10th

Anyone that saw our mob last week would say we are travelling pretty average too.
Pre Season counts for nothing & pride comes before a fall (or so someone said once).

That's actually not the case - hence why he's forced to take his potshots here (and on the main board, and on Bay 13...)

If you genuinely think that bunch of plodders and hacks will take you within spitting distance of the top 8 you are delusional.

Your ball movement is appalling, your footskills are dreadful and the entry into the forward 50 is as shabby as ever.

Nothing has changed.

Unless 8 - 9 sides suddenly forget how to play football you're not going anywhere.

Fair dinkum, I'm more than happy to have a bit of a go at West Coast (and vice versa) and I know this is our board but that's totally irrational, your judgement is clouded by hate. West Coast will certainly improve, finals mightn't be out of the question either. Still, as it's the Freo board, go Freo! :D

As much as I hate the scum that is the West Coast Eagles, I think it would be entirely in our advantage to have the Eagles get their home ground advantage back and start winning.

I remember the early to mid 2000's when the Victorian sides were genuinely shit scared to come to the house of pain, now they see it as a weekend holiday. To have both sides winning at home will make those from the east dread their trips west.

I agree with this and was actually talking about it with someone last year. With a ground like subi, and the road trip that comes ith it, it think having success against one of the teams from the west gives visiting teams some belief when playing the other.

There was a time that any trip west was seen as being close to a loss just from looking at the venue, regardless of the team it was against.

Strongly disagree, we don't need West Coast to make it the House of Pain once again. It will simply go by that title on a fortnightly basis. :thumbsu:

Yes, let them have a holiday every second week, and dread the trip every other. Goal should be unbeaten at home until the reigning premiers arrive in August.

Hey - ChumpGecko, your setting yourself up horribly belting with calls like that - big call coming from a man who's team couldn't beat a WAFL side at the moment, oh an by the way - how's that carton coming along? ;)
