Yeah mate, been through with a team from start to finish legit so have seen it done.

Can understand both points of view on this one & if it were like a major 'end story' mission or something like that I'd totally be lactose intolerant aswell. But considering it's not and you know that you will be doing the exact same thing up to 3 times a week for some people I just really don't see the point in drawing out the process.
Might be a different aspect to it if you were doing it with the same core group of people each time and knew you were locked in to getting a spot and having certain roles, etc like a lot of guys on here do, so I can really comment on that side of things (would probably make it a more enjoyable experience I'm guessing).

Definitely not, just having trouble finding people to do it with at the moment, so trying to run some solo stages for a challenge and to not miss the weekly loot.

Doing it with a crew is ideal, I haven't ever had that much fun as when we ran it blind, and also loved it when we beat crota legit. Can't wait to have another crack

I definitely understand doing sections solo during the holiday periods when it is harder to get a group together. Go a spare hour and no one else is on? Sure go for it. But what I'm seeing is entire full fireteams cheesing. That's a joke.

I guess I'm just salty that people that cheese always seem to get better drops than those who don't. It seems fair huh?

No. Would love to do it properly, trouble is getting a willing group together at the same time.

Well, you know my thoughts on that. People who have never completed the raid and only cheesed the Boss have better weapons than I do. Pretty hard to swallow.

All I can do is take pride in the fact I've done it properly and know how to really.

Haven't done it since I last did it with you. However, our team is keen to do it legit as soon as we can get everyone online at once.

VOG normal
Crota
VOG hard
All finished today...
First time I've done the hard raid. Had the same group go through all 3!

Got...
VOG: sniper, red death, chest and leg armour. Time breaker (finally)
Crota: gauntlets and shotgun

Productive!

Ohh and I'm the new level 29! Yep that's right I'm level 31

Well we all know where the blame truly lies: Bungie. They didn't have to make Destiny like it is.

It would not have been difficult to create a loot table that rewarded effort and skill. They chose randomness that inevitably rewards getting events done ASAP.

Finally, people who cheese don't get better drops. You've got weapons I don't have and I have weapons you don't have - same with everyone else. But your luck can't be too bad since you were either the first (or at least among the first) level 30s on the forum and I suspect you'll be among the first to get to level 32.

I imagine that is tough to swallow. Though I suspect that it is also tough to swallow when players get good rewards despite not carrying their weight.
 
I mean people have played enough to know what the RNG system is and you still play, still complaining about fairness and righteousness in a well known RNG system is lol to me, as far as I see people have paid their money and can play the game as they want and it's up to Bungie to make any changes.

100%. Either way you look at it, in the end it boils down to this. Hate the game, not the player.
As long as the game puts up a) the ability to cheese things & b) a completely random system of rewarding, people are going to make there own choice on how to approach it.
If you get a greater sense of satisfaction from taking the slow burn then power to you. If you feel like taking away from the experience by choosing the quicker method to rip through the 'to do' list then whatever. Suit yourselves.
I'm not really interested in giving a stuff how anyone else plays the game I'll just worry about approaching it as I see fit myself each time I play because as far as I'm concerned, as long as the game keeps putting up the current scenario it has, there is no 'elitism' in either method. To me it's just a bunch of dudes choosing whether to line up to the register with the longer or the shorter queue to buy pretty much the same lotto ticket.

I'm pretty sure that bungee never intended for the cheeses to exist, so saying that bungee have put them in so you'll use them is ridiculous. Keep going for level 32 off all of your cheesed gear and shards/energy. Crota is not that hard... Takes about the same amount of time as hard VoG.

They know they are there though & have shown they have the ability to patch these things. Regardless of the existence of any unintended exploits though, they do have full control of & intended the design of the lottery reward system which as far as I can tell is the main crux of the issue here.

Anyway as I've made clear I have no standpoint on either side of the discussion. What boggles my mind is how it actually can be such an issue to some people. Like how does someone get worked up about something as trivial as how someone else plays a video game? That's not a wise crack or anything but an actual question. As a pretty placid & even-tempered sort of person I just don't get the whole "how can the cheesers sleep at night" point of view. Why would it even matter?
