He was in the middle when we'd unload on him and he'd be back up in a flash.

Does he stay down longer if he gets hit by the sword?

I'm not sure if it was a timing issue on our part or a glitch - I've got suspicions it was a bit of both.

Just saw a vid someone took a few blues and a purple engram to the cryptarch, legendary turns into IB. These engrams leveled up the cryptarch so they get a package, which has a legendary engram in it, goes back and it turns into gjalla.

Talk about getting a score!

For those of you with three characters, have you leveled up copies of the same weapons to minimise swapping weapon loadouts?

I am really getting over swapping weapons as it is a time consuming tedious process. Thinking throughout the week to operate with 3 loadouts.

Titan VoC. IB. HoC
Warlock VoC IB and a 331 Rocket launcher
Hunter AE/331 Scout rifle, 331 sniper/Plan c, 331 rocket launcher

He moves left and right at the same time intervals every run. You just have to learn which way he runs, and when. Then mirror his moves onto to opposite side

Edit: he stays down for the same amount of time no matter how many hits you get on him.

I've got a maxed vex, fatebringer & VoC in each characters primary loadout.

I like to have a decent sniper on each character then other weapons like a 331 machine gun, 2 hunger of crota's & certain character specific exotics.

Some good stuff there but only 2 new exotic weapons & one of them being a shotgun is disappointing given how average most of the Crota's end exotics are.

doesn't worry my greatly tbh. Weapons are weapons. If they are legendary you can use them with IB GH etc

It would be an issue on your part most likely. He's only down for 5ish seconds so you can only get in 3-4 hits on a good run. To kill Crota effectively you generally aim to take the shield down twice per sword run.

You only have the sword for 1 minute I believe so it all happens pretty quickly. None of what Hirdy described sounded like a glitch to me.
