Dick's Shoulder

Doc Larkins said he should be fine, just a stinger (which is a pinched nerve i think) so he should be right, but his forward pressure role will be limited if he is injured

I looked liked it was dangling a bit at one point.

Your arm goes dead when you pinch a nerve

Blinding pain then numbness for about 5 minutes, and dull pain thereafter horrible feeling

Big ups for going in to try and defend Didak after fat arsed pygmy whacked him in the guts, even though physically he couldn't move him haha.

I love the guy. Go Dicky.

The things I've missed by not playing footy.

He was certainly pounding above his weight.:p

I did not hear what "Dr Harry" had to say but to me, having watched the replay, it looked as if he hit his forearm, just above the wrist, on the oppo players shoulder.

It looked like he broke the bone, as in his hand and wrist extended well past it's natural amount of flexibility.
He grabbed at it and grimmaced immediately.

I hope I am wrong.

Dick is a skinny little pick handle though and maybe it was simply very close.

That is simply how it looked.
I've watched it from the telecast a few times now.

Isn't it just an amazing feeling when your hammy's decide they've had enough for the day and that searing pain goes through the back of your leg.

Based on what I saw at the game; dick's shoulder is gone. IMO (and by no means am I qualified!)
He popped it once, went off and had it strapped, then did it again at the point Pie Eyed described in an earlier post.
I hope I'm wrong, because his forward line pressure is of paramount importance. Kicks goals and he's enthusiasm is infectious.

But in saying this; Buddy Franklin played most of last year with a dodgy shoulder. Restricts overhead marking and tackling.

All the reports around seem positive.

i always thought a stinger was a subluxation (spell?) in which the bone goes in and out in one movement, if you've got a bit of muscle and good ligaments then it is more just a pain in the ass (feels like a dead arm for a long while) and you're a bit more likely to do it again in the near future (as dicky did). in saying this i haven't had time to watch the game yet so i wouldn't know! but i played basketball (just in the local comps) for 2 years with regular subluxes before i decided to just get a reco cos it was getting annoying, but you can live with it.

Looked alright when he was walking off the ground after the game.
