Did anyone else get this email??

Was it just me or has anyone else recieved this email within the past 24 hours?? If so what do you make it of it all?

Thankyou for your patience in relation to the unavailability of the
Member's Forum on the new website. Many of you have expressed your dissappointment with the removal of the Forum, and we do realise that this area of our old website was one of our most popular. With this in mind we have been in constant contact with Telstra and the AFL in a bid to have the Forum
reinstated, however at this stage Telstra and the AFL seem reluctant to have a Forum posted on the Website due to litigation possibilities. They do however seem more receptive to a member's only chatroom. We understand that the delay is frustrating and with this in mind we are doing our best to
have some definate answers for you as soon as possible. As more information comes to hand we will update you. We realize the urgency of this and are treating it as a top priority.

I got it twice!!! I was surprised, because I haven't e-mailed the Club, only rang and spoke to Julie on Reception. He probably e-mailed everyone who applied to use the forum on the old site.

I must say the new web-site still sucks. There's very little personal stuff on it like the old site. I don't even bother to read Andy McLeod's articles. And that notice about Matthew Robran being available on chat - I think that's for everyone, not just AFC members. So where's the benefit of being an AFC member?

I got it twice too!!! I've never emailed the club either and i've never rung and spoken to anyone (well once but that was for something different).

What I wanna know is, why do they wanna give us a chat room?? We had one to start with and it sucked. Why can't we have our forum back?? Where's our freedom of speech gone?

yeah its just one big chat room at the moment for ALL footy fans. that was even posted on the melbourne site that u can talk with matty robran.

just out of interest, is your site pretty much like the afl one with different colours or is it the same lay out?

It's pretty much like the afl ones but just with the different colours.

I replied to his e-mail, saying how much I dislike the new web-site. Wonder if I'll get a reply.

Did anyone else reply to his e-mail?

Yeah I did. I asked him to tell anyone who complains about not having a forum to come to bigfooty.

Go through MIRC if you can't get in through telstra.

I emailed Matty telling him to put the link through from bigfooty. So hopefully he will do that. I hope so because we are trying to get all the clubs to do the same thing with the forums.
