Simple question in regard to the Harry O free kicked payed in the last few seconds of the Saints v Collingwood game. Did the umpire get one right?

No, not unless you consider the breeze of someone swiping their hand past you as dragging of the arms. Truly ludicrous decision.

You should have a 50/50 option. Milne looked at the player - once you do that you are always a chance to give the free away.

Couldnt find anyone at the local footy today who thought it was a free. The funny thing was most people said they expect those sort of calls against Collingwood. Amazed StKilda got so close with the clearly biased umpiring all night Collingwoods way.

Enough with this crap. Look up free kick stats then watch every Collingwood game you ****ing hater. We get wacked by the umpires almost every week.

Not sure which call is worse - yours of the finger.

No team gets it better or worse than another team. Some days it goes your way sometimes it does not. Their is no agenda and no team is favoured nor is there a bias towards a team. Swings and round abouts.

Also if you have a high free kick count my bet is you have a high number of dumb footballers that give away too many frees - focus on them more than the umpires.

It's actually a sad part of our game now, we have umpires who are completely inconsistent and an AFL who claim they'll crack down on staging for free kicks, but from what I've seen this season it is as bad as ever.

The only way to improve things is to sak the Geisch, was a terrible football coach and no better as an umpires coach. Really wonder what he has on AD or AA because it must be something good for them to keep him in his job.

Umpires have come out and admitted it was wrong which really is no suprise to anyone other than the most bias and general pot stirrers.

Very strange move by the umpires department that its believed they have written a letter of apolagy to the StKilda Football Club for the treatment they received throughout the game. As many as 12 decisions are believed to have gone against them. In a 6 point game that defines a season is this letter enough? How do Collingwood supporters feel knowing that a game was unfairly handed to them? How do Saints fans feel knowing there season was ended by one sided umpiring?

Show proof of the letter otherwise this is just garbage being sprouted to justify the loss.

For those who are saying that there was no contact, can you please go and look at the video of the incident on youtube.

If you still think there was no contact, please go and get your eyes checked.

That's funny for 2 reasons.

1. You must have been at the only local football match in Australia with no Collingwood fans.

2. 90% of the people who go to local footy don't know the rules.

Its over mate the umpires have come out and admitted it was WRONG. They do this once in a blue moon they admit they got it wrong.

The only way they can say it was WRONG, would be if they say Milne made no contact.

But he clearly makes contact, enough to knock Harry off balance and lose his feet under him.

Yep. Front on contact with Milne not watching the ball. Pretty easy decision.

1. There was no contact

2. Geishen has come out and said they got it wrong

3. Players have to be aware of where the man is. If Milne had eyes for the ball only he would he would of been running back and crashed through O'brien in a very Zeibell like fashion.

1. There is clear contact, enough to twist Milnes body the opposite directo which he jumps.

2. Gieschen regularly contradicts himself. I wouldn't listen to him.

3. Players cannot make contact with another player unless they are making a valid attempt to mark or spoil. Milne does not even look at the ball.

4. Milne barely bothers to argue, he knows its a free kick.

Harry is a total gumby when he has to lift his head. He doesnt require help to fall over.

Please stop its not funny any more. Harry O is a serial ducker under the high ball and he dropped a pie. Umpire had it in for StKilda and more so Milne all night and cheated to get the result he wanted and more so the AFL. FFS they paid a fifty for swearing at another player.

Once Milne took his eyes off the ball any contact was going to draw a free kick, doesn't matter how slight, and he did make slight contact probably causing Harry to drop the mark, it did look much worse at full speed i think most would agree, when it happened i would have paid a free to Harry, but after watching the replay i would have called play on, but as i said to the letter of the law it was possibly there, super soft though.

Was on par with the goal we lost due to Shaws ridiculous deliberate OOBs call, he wasn't only under pressure he was being tackled FFS, not sure if the ump thought he should hit a player lace out 50 mtrs away, but i don't hear anyone complaining about that decision.

Obviously the Finger has been banned from the main board, he's been sending me PMs about the incident lol.

See mods, this is blatent trolling, if you want this board cleaned up start by banning posters such as this, not the people who respond to him.

Wrong wrong wrong. You dont have to have your eyes on the ball on your way to a contest as long as there on it whe you get there. You can stand with your back to the ball and stick your arms up in the air if you like. Umpire made the decision while the ball was in flight as he basically knew what Harry O would do and that was drop a soda.

As for Shaw he delibratley put the ball across his body and kicked it out with no contact. Free all day every game.

As for the swearing and fifty well thats just cheating.
