Thats weird, maybe we went at the wrong time of day, week, year, we drove from Melbourne to Adelaide to Darwin in '97 and didn't see any wildlife except roadlkill. Couple of dingoes in the morning hanging round a caravan scavenging food was all. I didn't close my eyes the whole drive because I wanted to see camels and brumbies and emu's and roo's....I saw nuffin!
