Payze going again at OP. Note the ‘re-signed’ wonder how much cash he has signed on for
Should have a crack at higher , he's easily good enough to play for say Frankston.
Did his Dad ever try to go higher , he was good enough as well , should give it a crack , you can always go back

From the looks at there list year to year Old Peninsula rarely lose any players. Which must show a lot about there culture.

But from an outsider perspective how do we know they aren’t playing for the love of the game? By the sounds of it they’re all quite close friends and enjoying their football. Rare down that way because of all the clubs around offering money so maybe they do want to be at a club that doesn’t have egos or anyone there just for money.

Big signing today they have finished with the meetings and soon to be on the socials. Ex Premier A/B player coming to hunt the D1 flag!!

Would be an interesting watch! Didn’t they have some big recruit this year that ended up going to Carlton?

Local boy Frankie Evans. Would have played 3-4 games with VFL commitments
He would have played the majority of the season. If he didn’t get picked up his VFL availability was going to be very little and that would have made our chances a lot stronger. But we can’t make excuses of what-ifs. We didn’t go undefeated all year and lose the grand final. Lucky for us we can strive to be a finals contender for 2026.

Paul "5camps" Scampalino seen running through the streets of Brunswick daily, often doing upwards of 10kms inbetween helping old ladies with their shopping. Big Season COMING.....

I think Preston & Parkside would be the ones to beat in Division 1 next year! Preston should have played finals!

Hopefully one of them has a clash jumper!

Having a clash should be mandatory. I'd guess the majority of the league wear dark colors for a home kit.

Not having one and having to wear the dog ugly vafa ones is embarrassing.

Couldn't help yourself ####

TP have 3 playing uniforms. 2 was mandatory for us.

Rocking up as the away team without one should be a fineable offense. Just shorts doesn't cut it

Former OAFC Premiership coach Ash Lever taking over at Prahran

My money is on parkside to win the flag early. Young side, weren't disgraced in C, now have some invaluable experience going forward.

Payran needed to be brought down a peg after that early season boasting about being a "premier" club. Also on them how the hell do they share toorak park with xavier? how does training work? are their rooms separated by a wall in the new pavillon? (similar to Ajax/South melbourne districts) How long have they actually shared it? Know payran played there in the early 90's (VFA?).

Kew/UHS up there as well. Promoted sides will have to find another level to remain in D1, both look to have their school feeder up and running which is always good for the future.

Prahran VFA always played there , this mob really don't have anything to do with them , the same with Brunswick , they only have the name as a suck up to a woke council

The current Prahran used to be Southbank CBA and played at the old Lakeside Oval (South Melbourne VFL) ground for a while.

They were previously the Commonwealth Bank team. They also took over the old State Bank team when the Commonwealth Bank took over the State Bank of Victoria in the early 90s.

Think the bit about a suck up to a woke council is a bit harsh. They needed a new ground and a new identity - they would never have survived as Southbank (then a recently settled suburb of apartment dwellers, no ground) - so they moved to Prahran, a suburb that had recently lost its VFA side.

And (in both cases - Prahran and Brunswick), I don't think it's too 'woke' to give preference to a club that has some connection to the suburb / community, even if it is in name only.

I was talking about Brunswick , not Prahran ro , i know where the old state bank etc. were in Albert Park
Nearly a minor combine compared to another

Poor take. Maybe have a look into the reigning VAFA Volunteer of the year before you make uniformed posts about today's Prahran connection with their past. We all know you Ormond folk look down on the many clubs that have been through one or more mergers. Ormond's arrogance and elitism earns it zero respect.

And i know that volunteer , he's a beauty
Your slagging of Ormond has been elite, no arrogance at all , you give it out , you take it back
Much prefer the true Brunswick i played against

You know the volunteer, but you also said that the current club is nothing to do with the old club. Both can't be right.

I haven't slagged Ormond, but I am happy to slag the arrogant posters from Ormond on here, and there are a few of you.

See your falling into the AI poster who is an expert on the SFL, the Riddell league and every division of the VAFA
That person from Prahran was a part of the VFA and when there was a Prahran comeback he and a couple of others came back . It's like the bloke at Preston VFA/VFL who has done over 40 years and now thanks to the DLS VP and the AFL has no club anymore and will be lost to the game

Guarantee there are people around that do as much or more than him, premier grade bias, also wonder what he thought about the instant rebranding of the club as a 'premier' club, then to lose all 18 games and be back in D1 after a year.
