DO WE OVER-REACT AT TRADE TIME?

Every year we are bombarded with AFL Players who are traded from Clubs or put up for trade. Suddenly these players are worth double their normal salaries and fans are clamouring to sign them up for their clubs, believing that they are the hidden gems that will send their teams to the premiership. Interesting that most of this year's trades are not in their top 10 in best and fairest counts. Even Tom Rockliff has had a very reduced effectiveness after his shoulder injury and the Power boys are convinced he is the club's great recruit.
No doubt there will be bargains that are not listed and these are the low ball gems that clubs hope to win. Let's hope that our list manager can find some gems like Lynch, Jacobs, Scott Thompson etc who did not cost the earth to trade to Adelaide.
